to think ibrahimovic played alongside the king and looked sooooo average in comparison. i wonder how much you would have to pay for ibra nowadays..... by the way i know ibrahimovic probably wasnt even born when this game was played it was just seeing sweden made me think

my worst memory was at paradise when he broke his jaw against livingstone. happened right in front of us in jock stein stand. whole ground went silent then started singin "you are my larsson..." he stood up and saluted the fans before being subbed.
best memory was in a bar in dublin. sweden v england in world cup when he scored a beauty! :icon_mrgreen:

My first memory of Ghod is like so many others - watching the highlights of the world cup `94 3rd place play off.. he stood out a mile for the way he played and the hair lol.. then i mind when we were signing him it became a bit protracted & i remember it going to a tribunal & my mate said he saw it on eurosport & he was in tears (dunno if thats true) but i thought "Christ he really wants to play for us !" i have no memeory of the hibs game -his debut- but i first started thinking he was a player when he scored a cracking diving header against St Johnstone away...within a couple of more months we KNEW we had a player on our hands!

I thought by the end of the season he would go the way of so many others who had came to paradise & promised to stop the huns getting the 10 & put us back on top then * off at the first sign of more cash.. but no.. Henrik was a man of principle & he stuck around & became the best player i have ever saw in the hoops & gave us all so many great great memories.. Legend :50:

Can only really remember his last few seasons in the hoops. (I remember odd little bits before his last few like his wonder goal against R******) One of the downsides of being a teen.

First I remember of him is my dad saying he was a diddy and he should "get to *" after he passed to Charnley. I was only 8 when he signed so it's a bit of a fuzzy memory.

Seeing him come on as a sub for Sweden and being fascinated at this dude in dreadlocks that was half black...and yet playing for Sweden....which was a first in my mind for the Scandinavian countries.

Watching the Hibs game in a hotel bar in Majorca,,,,ouch debut. Incidently, was home for the 1st home game that season when we went down to Dunfermline, 2 games no points, even that early I wondered if the huns would get 10. However, Wim was the man in the end.

I remember just before he signed he did a phone interview with STV. They had a map of Europe with a dot on Rotterdam and a wee pic of the great man himself! Such a weird first memory but I was only 9 years old and I used to get so excited about every signing! :D I still do!
I was also lucky enough to meet him once but I totally froze and didn't say anything. Got an autograph though.

watching his debut against hibs in a pub in dublin

he comes on, gives the ball away and charnley scores

myself and my brother shout in unison at the tv "FFS Nenah Cherry!"

second best memory is the night bevore the UEFA final in the hotel in Jerez, we arrived later on that night and one of Henriks friends was in our party of 6 and as we stepped out the lift on our floor, Lambert was sitting on a couch reading the match programme and he said hello, Henrik then saunters down the corridor having had a massage and he said to us and specifically his pal "what the * are you doing here?" the look on our mutual friends face was priceless.
