Taxi Driver. Seen the 3rd time. This movie doesn't get worse, no matter how many times you see it. Classic, De Niro at his best.

    Ip Man 2 (slight spoilers).

Managed to find the full film on You Tube dubbed into English.

The scene where he fights the English heavyweight boxer is fantastic. I don't know how historically accurate the film is but it seemed rather unfair to disallow Ip from using kicks against the boxer, after all it was supposed to be Chinese style V western style boxing.

2 is set in 1950 Hong Kong when the island was still under British rule. Did the one child rule exist in China at that time? A baddie who ends up Ip's friend has about 6 kids and Ip has a second child. I was wondering if that was because Hong King was still British so the one child rule might not have applied there.

Like the bit at the end where 10 year old Bruce Lee shows up to ask Master Ip to train him. Not often a sequel is better than the first but 2 had some much better fight scenes.Have to find part 3 now.

    Baby Driver

Wow. Edgar Wright was already my favourite director, and the reviews were this had already given my high expectations...but it was simply incredible. The performances, the characters, action, humour....and most importantly, the music!

It's a must watch. Already want to see it again.
