My Cousin Vinny is on one of the weird movie channels. Absolute class. Remember watching it on a plane when I was 11. :56:

Sunshine on Leith. Really enjoyed it and I'm not normally a fan of musicals.

Pompeii. Jon Snow is a Celt gladiator and there's a volcano ready to erupt. The wee hottie from Sucker Punch is in it as well. Good film.

Just finished the second Hunger Games film. Was brilliant. Utter * ending though. Peeta dies:54: And they blow up district 12! Plus a really wanted to see Katniss kill the guy with the white beard that makes the games.. President Snow with an arrow to the chest.

Hopefully there making a 3rd where she'll kill that dobbar:smiley-laughing002:

I shan't spoil it, since I have read the books. However they are splitting the last book (mockingjay) into 2 separate films. This will allow them to add more detail and go in-depth (and milk the fans obviously. :smiley-laughing002:). You will have to wait until the end of this year and the end of 2015 for the final instalment. :54:

You are in for a treat though. * gets real. Its rewarding but in a sad way.

Edit: Seen that it has been spoiled for you. Aye, he doesn't die - the rebellion has begun. :icon_mrgreen: Someone important (kind of) dies though and is killed by someone you would never suspect.

    It wasn't a spoiler:smiley-laughing002:

I've only seen the films, thought it was clear that he had just been captured.

I thought that aswell but my girlfriend seemed to think he died aswell - maybe it isn't clear to people. I suppose people imagine he is captured and probably killled?

Hmm strange. To be honest, it would be kind of * if he was to die like that, not even showing his death.

Amazing two more films:50: After a posted that comment a googled if they would be another movie to see if we'd see a rebellion. Really enjoyed those two films, put them off for a while as well.

A assumed once Katniss was plucked out from the dome at the end by the mettle machine, everyone else on the island died because it was starting to crumble after she shot the arrow up at it. A never new anyone was captured, a will watch the ending again tomorrow and see if a missed anything.

Half of the tributes were in on the whole plan. They want to overthrow the capital aswell, hence why Finnick tells Katniss at the end to consider "who the real enemy is". However, Peeta and Johanna are taken to the Capitol but they do survive. Only Finnick, Peeta, Johanna and Katniss survive - the other tributes die because a) they are killed or b) the ones helping the 'rebellion' sacrifice themselves.

You should read the books if you can, they are much more detailed and are actually naw bad - dead easy aswell, I got through them in about 2 weeks.

    Couldn't help myself man - I apologise. :56:

Would love to read the books as a would the Game Of Throne books, but a really don't want know what happens before I watch them. A like the surprise. Just priced the Hunger Game books up on Amazon there, really cheap as well.

I actually think the books enhance your movie experience with HG. They give you much more information and you understand the movie. There is so much in the movie that is done so poorly. For example in the first movie Katniss takes a shining for Rue but only because she reminds her of her little sister Prim - which isn't highlighted. Then in the second when she goes in to the arena to 'audition' for the judges, Peeta leaves and you see a sketch of Rue (when she lay at death) and we are made to believe the judges drew this but in actual fact it was Peeta who did this as a tribute to Rue and a damning indictment against the capitol (to make Katniss angry aswell). They totally overlook her deep connection with rue, when in reality Rue is a main inspiration to Katniss and her rebellion (the whole 2 finger salute scene, which Rue's district do, which is seen as a sign of great respect and thus pushes them to rebel). Theres also the dog scenes at the end of the first movie. In the book it tells you how the capitol uses the other dead tributes eyes and physical traits and puts these into the genetically engineered dogs, which highlights how sick and twisted they are, yet in the movie the dogs are nothing more than wild animals. The books are also more gory, the movie sold out and made it a 12 so they could get more people in and make more money.

Aye I have started reading the Game of Thrones books but it seems like it is going to take a while. The Hunger Games and Game of Thrones have really got me into reading again - as bad as that sounds. Went off it for a while but it has got me into the habit. You really get to know a rich backstory that a movie just can't touch on - the same way as the Godfather (great movie but you learn more in the book).

Probably read them one day after the shows have finished. Maybe:smiley-laughing002:

A was wandering who done that sketch of Rue on the floor. A also thought it was the judges to make her angry or wynd her up.

Aye a would imagine the books are way more in depth. How many Hunger Books are they? Are they all complete now or has the author got more to do? Am guessing there completed and that's why the 4 movies will be enough to complete what was done in the books.

A really enjoy reading myself when a do read, but a go through spells. A can start a book and read half of it then forget about it only to go back to it months later:smiley-laughing002: A only read autobiography books though.

Aye the books are finished, only 3. Been finished for a while now I think - since 2011 maybe? I really enjoyed dystopian novels and saw someone advertising the trilogy on ebay for £6 with £2 postage and packaging so I couldn't resist. Good decision.

I think the weather affects my reading urges - I prefer it during the winter in all honesty when its cold and dark outside. :smiley-laughing002:
