Doesn't really make a drop though if there is 10-15k less people in the stadium.
If they dropped prices by a tenner and 10,000-15,000 more people came, they would be making at least the same money. Take into account the fact if there is more people, more programmes, food, paradise windfall tickets, and other Celtic merchandise would be sold.

Maybe a season or 2 of cheaper tickets and bringing the fans back into Celtic park is worth it in the long run

Dropping prices by a tenner isnt going to bring people back through the turnstiles. The ticket price is just an excuse. Our attendances hit their peak during the MON era and have been on a steady downward spiral since. Nobody was blaming the fall at the end of that era on ticket prices or during GS era either. There was always going to be a fall this season as there is no Rangers in the league and the need for a season ticket isnt as vital as it used to be. Taking a tenner of the price of a ticket isnt going to fill the stadium and what do you give to season book holders who have already paid up in full for the season ?? Just a total non starter.

Personally I think season books should be reduced next season. Mines has went up a fair bit in the last few years and I feel that most season tickets cost far too much. Even knocking £70-100 would be more viable for some fans to purchase and to me I think that is fair.
Plus I know more people I know would go to games if the tickets weren't £28-30 to watch Hibs, ICT and the likes. £15-20 then they would attend more games and I'm sure more fans would attend.

In the last 6 years or so fans have been leaving as they don't feel the product matches the value of ticket prices, which is true. Had players on £30+k p/w back then and paid much less for tickets.
I feel that games are just too expensive (and not even just at Celtic park....look at attendances all over the country).

But that's just my take on it.

I feel the same mate. I renewed my ticket this year through loyalty to the club but in the back of my mind I know I'm being fleeced and it has bothered me.

Then you have the club send out a disrespectful letter criticising fans who dared to complain because they paid extra for the Old Firm games that were replaced by two games against Dundee!

The players aren't good enough to be charging the prices the club currently do, it's a fact!

On match day if the tickets are still not sold they should hand them out for free. I mean if they give away free tickets it will mean - bigger attendance, fans will buy food + merchandise, the experience may result in fans being more interested in buying tickets ans season books.

Obviously this idea could end up being took advantage of so the club could limit the amount they were giving away and sell the rest for a reduced price?

This method in my eyes would still be making the club money because at the minute they are losing alot of money through the empty seats!
