    Ralf Rangnick turns down Schalke: "I would have liked to be involved(...). Unfortunately, due to numerous uncertainties within the club, I do not see myself in a position to take on the sporting responsibility at Schalke at this time."

    Totally agree with needing more backroom staff.The coaches need to specialise in different areas. Rodgers was trying to do it, pulling us into the 21st Century and making us a modern European team but now we are sitting in the dark ages.

    That would suggest to me we shouldn’t have forked out the money as he is injury prone and affected by his injury as he can’t do a full 90

    Turnbulls fitness will need to be managed carefully with that knee op but for me if he is to go to the next level that is probably the area of his game where he could improve. If he had that extra yard of pace and a little more strength to go with his excellent footballing ability he will become some player.

    Armstrong is one I remember making a good physical transformation and Tierney another despite his injuries.
