Too many people will tell you that he’s Lawwell’s ‘man in the media’. He isn’t, at least not now anyway disregarding what sort of sources he’s had in the past.

That’s one of a number of nonsense links he’s put out recently.

In fairness we could easily have still been in negotiations on Thursday.

    Things can change quickly.

Still, I dont think anyone is completely in the know with what we are upto.

I don’t doubt he has been fed things from Celtic in the past but he definitely isn’t that guy these days.

The line from the media over here was this guy was working his ticket to try and manufacture a move to Celtic. That doesn’t look remotely true at this point.

He's apparantly been released from his contract, wonder if we'll go back in for him.

I think this deal seems too messy. Hope we just stay away.

If he's a free agent, we will be all over it. So will other clubs though, we'd need to act fast.

Get him signed up. Guys overdraft is about maxed out so needs a club. Plus he looks qaulity and if a red bull team was in for him he must have something about him

He's going to the Red Bull side. On a free it's interesting, but i'm not convinced. I'm with Mick on this one.
We don't know much about the guy.

From what i can see he's good in the air. A bit of a long ball specialist. Not particularly skillful and a bit poor tactically.
He seems to be of the no-nonsense variety.

According to reports he's been on 1k-a-week, so maybe you get a good deal on wages.
If it's to be on high wages i'd be tempted to look elsewhere.

On a free, it's less risk, but if he's to go on high wages i'd rather go down a different route.
For me Benkovic is a better option.

Haven't read much about this, but seems strange that he has been released with interest growing. Might be some third party bullshit knowing Brazil.

Wonder if we have ever actually been interested in him. Just a weird situation overall.

Would prefer to see us sign Sissako.

There is some third party *. Image rights or that little percentage they keep as part of the deal.
    It's in the press reports.

What i would add to this is he's a good tackler and very dominant in the air.

Looks like the reason they went down a division is because he was dropped from the side and they went on a slump.

It could be the case he's been playing in a team where the defenders around him are poor and in a better side you see a big shift in performance.

Seems as though Cruzeiro have allowed his contract to be bought out in return for him dropping his claims against them but they still retain a 25% stake in him so whoever signs him are still gonnae have to pay a fee to both Cruzeiro and probably also to whatever third party paid for his release.

Celtic target Fabricio Bruno has been released from his Cruzeiro contract as the 23-year-old becomes a free agent.

The Brazilian defender has been targeted by the Hoops, with his club revealing that talks were underway with the Premiership leaders.

The centre-back took legal action over unpaid wages to try and walk away from his contract, and a bid was later accepted from Red Bull Bragantino.

That transfer fell through and Cruzeiro faced a $4million lawsuit but Globo Esporte reports that he has now been freed from his contract.

Cruzeiro were given 500,000 Brazilian dollars to terminate his contract, in return for Bruno withdrawing his legal action against the club.

It's also reported that they will retain 25 per cent of his registration, meaning any club signing him would have to buy them out or give the Brazilian side a percentage of any future transfer fee.

Last month an official statement from Cruzeiro confirmed Celtic 's interest.

t read: "Cruzeiro Esporte Clube explains that it has not received any official proposal from Celtic for defender Fabricio Bruno

The player's agent, Fabio Mello, was at Toca da Raposa 2 this week in the company of Fabricio Bruno and met with the club's board, represented by the directors Marcelo Djian, Benecy Queiroz, Valdir Barbosa and vice-president Marcio Rodrigues.

Fabio Mello reported that he was meeting with Scottish club officials in London, England, and was authorized to make a loan proposal from January to June 2020, with Celtic paying 300,000 Euros for the loan and 2.5million Euros more if Fabricio Bruno was approved during this period.

"Cruzeiro did not accept and countered 1million euros for the loan and 4 million euros if the player was approved.

"Sporting director Marcelo Djian even said: 'if Fabricio Bruno does not stay with Celtic he'd return undervalued and Cruzerio would receive only 500,000 Euros - a very small amount'.

Not arsed if he signs or not.

I'd imagine we have others lined up and in general I have a bad feeling about him.

A freebie would be very low risk though. Admittedly.
