    Can't really argue with Capello.

    Our impeccable home record is in tatters I would think now. Last year we were long ball after long ball. It wasn't nice to watch at all - Amsterdam last year was chronic watching for me. He watched us get taken to the cleaners by an awful Milan team. He's taking a subjective view of things by all accounts - doubt he's watched any of our Europa League games this year though, but basing it on what he seen v Milan, Juve, Barcelona. And he's obviously seen the results against Maribo, Legia, Salzburg, Zagreb.

    A bit like myself, he is taking a subjective approach. He is certainly not blinded by the sun that shines out of Neil Lennon's * or the by the PLC balance sheets like some of the members on here... (Not you btw)

    Aye, Capello is pretty spot on. We are certainly not the force we have been at home in Europe and by long balls I think he means the amount of times our cb's hoof it out to the wings and deep crosses into the box from wide on the flanks. I mean, how often do we build through the middle ? Not often enough in our European games this season.
    Against Milan at home last season it was appalling.

    I've said it before but going to games and particularly amongst the season ticket holders I know all I have heard this season is criticism of the team and direction we are heading right now, I'm not as aggrieved as they are and am still trying to give Ronny a chance but I must say that the only folk who seem to want to criticise nothing about the club and get uppity at any negativity seem to live on forums like this and in most cases live overseas.

    I'm too young to remember his more successful teams, but him commenting on how we play football in recent years is still ironic given his England and Russia teams couldn't put 5 passes together in previous tournaments.
