    Trolls everywhere.

If only some * knew what it was like to be a Celtic supporter travelling from Belfast to Glasgow at the height of the troubles, they might not be so * quick to try and be a clever chap.

Pay for a flight........get stopped in Glasgow, get delayed by Strathclydes finest............miss the match.........go to your Hotel, then on your return journey you may get took into a "questioning" room.

    Show some respect please.

I think this is true.Thank * as well as I don't know what I would do if I had to listen to such pish when I travelled up to games.

This did occur to me as well when people have been talking about "breaking America". I was in America a couple of weeks ago and met alot of really good Celtic people. However I am not particularly interested in gaining new Celtic fans ( from the U.S or anywhere else) just becuase we are successful in Europe or have signed an American player. I'd rather have less Celtic fans but ones that truly appreciate the history of Celtic.

People based a connection on a few supporters clubs. I based mine on the fact that we have a Northern Irish manager, Northern Irish players and quite a few fans from Northern Ireland. Not a strong connection but still stop trying to make something out of nothing.

Are Celtic a 'Southern Scottish' club in your eyes, hendy?...

I dont think Neil Lennon would like being called Northern Irish over Irish.

players who could get into our team from the USA:
    Donovan
    Dempsey
Maybe Guzan & Howard (great year from Guzan and great career for Howard)
Altidore would fight it out with the other to get alongside Hooper
    Jones

I was going to suggest Northern Ireland as really the only other country that we would have a special connection with.

But in order to avoid offence, or being a troll, I wont bother...

I was confused by the OP, I couldn't distinguish which Ireland he was referring too, considering there's quite evidently two of them. The Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, I wish it could have been a tad more specific. He should make sure not put both countries under the same bracket next time. :50:

or suppose Ireland would have been enough to cover the whole of it rather than having to distinguish between one or the other

When people say Ireland I assume the Republic of Ireland.

In before I get a lecture, I will never do it again.

There are more Celtic supporters in the Greater Toronto Area than anywhere else in North America with the likely exception of New York City, never mind Boston.

Celtic often frequents Toronto for glamour friendlies.

    There's a reason for that.
