Stephen McManus is another, I think out young players are mentally and physically weaker than standard spl level player due to only playing u21 football so struggle to make the move up but hopefully playing against the lowland league will help, as limited as that league is at least those guys will treat them like men. A move to Hibs for a few of our younger peripheral players would be good

Hibs are set to sign Celtic's Ewan Henderson on a three-and-a-half year deal, Football Scotland understands.

Shaun Maloney had been credited with an interest in the Hoops youngster in recent days, and now looks like getting his man.

It's understood the 21-year-old was at the Hibees' East Mains training ground today and is close to signing on until the summer of 2025.

And if things progress quickly enough, the deal could be announced as soon as tomorrow.

Maloney worked with Henderson, younger brother of Easter Road hero Liam, during his spell in charge of Celtic’s B team and sees him as a good fit at Easter Road.

The midfielder’s contract was due to be up in the summer and he was informed that he could leave Parkhead

Good move for him, I don't think he had enough to make it with us

Agree with that. I think he’s good enough to become a good SPFL player, but not good enough to make an impact at us.

    All the best to him.

Good luck to him, thought he was neat and tidy and skilfull when he burst into the team a few years ago, we just can't give these lads the game time they need, hopefully this move and the shock of not making it Celtic give him the jolt he needs, definitely talented kid, hibs and Maloney should be good for him

Didn't really see enough of him in the first team to form a real opinion of him..

Wasn't overly impressed when he did play, but very difficult for him to make an impact.

Seems to be a level headed lad who speaks well, good move for him tho and best of luck.

Same issue as his brother for me. Good football brain but unfortunately almost zero physical attributes to speak of.

Wish him all the best. Hope he goes to Italy eventually like his brother, that must be some life.

I hope we are not allowing him to head to hibs for nothing even with 6 months left on contract

Hibs are the ideal club for the lad let's face it, and at exactly the right time with Maloney as their head coach. Rarely has a move ever made more sense for any outgoing player.

Wish the bhoy nothing but the best.

I'd let him go for £1 on condition we have the first option to buy for 2mill. Saying that I never rated him.

A good move for him, think he’d do great in no.10 position but he’s got no chance playing there for us anytime soon and too slow as a winger.

Sorry he's leaving. I think he's a good young player, but for the sake of his own career, it might be the best thing for him to move on

Good move and happy for him.

Hes a good lad and deserves his chance. Will make a good career for himself I'm confident of that.

Any youth players we have need to be out on loan from the age of 18 to 20 to give them a chance to be ready for our first team .,I do see a value in Colts set up but I don't think it's gonna be a pathway to the first team

Good move for him. Pretty sure he broke into the team under Rodgers , which was years ago and has never never really been seen much since which means he’s just not quite got it to make it at Celtic.

Went on loan to Ross County and Dunfermline if I’m right and didn’t rip up trees at all
