His weight of pass is always on point. Might actually be the best through passer in the squad. Isn't far off it..

Would like him and Johnston to get a lot of game this this season

 

I hope so too, both look like really good players.

 

Supporters need to be patient if that's the case as both are only young guys and will get things wrong from time to time.

I remember Johnston getting pelters one thread for taking on a shot instead of squaring it (maybe Motherwell?)

I'm all for having more faith in our young players but we need to make sure we don't get stroppy at the first missed chance or bad game.

 

Already think he's got more to his game than his brother Liam. Genuinely excited about him.

 

Of course mate goes without saying. Making a mistake happens to all players. My gripe is when we have really good quality in our youth team and fans immediately say we need to loan them out. McGeady, Maloney didnt need it and we have a few that are ready to be first team players for us. Maybe on the periphery for the major games but they can definitely be relied upon. I.e Johnstone, Henderson & Dembele. I'm also a fan of Savoury but he's one that could do with a loan.

 

Would rather see this bhoy get a chance than * 3 million on Turnbull to be quite honest I do see the sense in the Turnbull move good upcoming Scottish talent but Henderson could be every bit as good

 

Exactly mate! Turnbull would have still been a nice addition, but not to bothered we haven't secured him when we have the likes of Hendo coming through. Turnbull signing would have seen Hendo go back in the pecking order, purely due to the amount spent.

 

Liam was technically brilliant but just had no mobility compared to Ewan, looks strong on both feet as well with great vision.

 

Slightly off topic (But I hope this happens with Johnston and Henderson going forward), but I reckon Ajer is one of the few that nearly everyone has given some credit and laid off the pelters for making a few mistakes at the early end of his career - more so as he has changed position.
But for Ajer it is now truly time to step up and be the number one CB.

In that respect, Henderson and Johnston - Dembele as well though younger - should both be given the couple seasons that Ajer has had to make the mistakes and build in to the squad

 

Thats what I think the difference is, they are similar players but if Ewan can fill out a wee bit he'll be a rolls royce of a player. The lads got everything.

 

In terms of talent, he's going to be up there with tierney in a year or two, tremendous talent.

 

Easily in my opinion..

Him and Johnston will be in the KT bracket I think once they're established and have naturally developed their upper bodies..

 

Would loan him out to league one in England for a season. Getting good 30 games a season would do him world good instead odd start and odd 30 mins here and there with us.

 

What's his contract situation?

 

He doesn't need loaned out, he's good enough to be around the first team.

 

There will be plenty of opportunities for him here this season.

 

Serious talent. As said above, maybe best suited to a loan deal for the season.

On one hand I’d love to see him stay and get game time with us but it’s so crowded in midfield just now. At least with Mikey Johnston there’s an opening to establish himself.

 

Technically brilliant. A better player than McGregor was at 19 for me, which is a mental thought if he keeps on progressing.
