The only reason I don't think that will happen, is that it will cut out 'legal' touts like Seatwave, Viagogo etc, and you can bet your bottom dollar some politician will have an interest in keeping firms like this going.

it is exactly this type of company who will be targeted to implement the new technology. Ipad already looking at fingerprint technology on their machines but not for user to keep files secret... ie technology will not be accessible by the user. Big business and governments want to collect data on people... they can already track your location by phone and are presently working on technology to predict your movements. Anyway, i don't want to derail the thread which i think is important.. Unless the club start to value those who regularly attend without buying a season ticket this thread will become an annual event.

I think a voucher system is a fair way to go but people will still find a way to sell vouchers etc. As long as i can watch the game online or on tv i will be happy due to location. Celtic are too big for the domestic game and demand for European / top class opposition will always ensure tickets are hard to come by. No easy answer to our big match tickets i'm afraid :54:

On the subject of ticket touts, I haven't noticed much of a difference last year (or this year) compared to previous years when there was a general sale. Celtic are at least pro-active and take action against those selling tickets on for inflated prices, although this has brought a few problems i.e. people who have taken pictures of their match ticket only for some tout to use it when advertising tickets for sale resulting in a cancelled ticket for the original photo taker.

What should be of more concern to fans are the club themselves handing tickets over to official travel partners to sell on at inflated prices as part of a package i.e. the home game plus one nights overnight stay package. So while the action taking with regards to Joe Punter ticket touts is commendable, the moral highground taken by Celtic is a bit hard to take.

not all season ticket holders come out smelling of roses . me and my lady payed £509 each for seats in upper south main stand . but for european games uefa take over 7 sections of the ground . ours is one of them . our three game package is now in the lisbon lions ,down beside the away fans . and unless i'm mistaken i'll be able to bend the corner flag and scratch my * with it . but yes giving season books extra tickets is very wrong . we are just glad to be going
