Yes but if its anything like last season we will * around and end up going into the CL qualifiers with Boyata still one of our starting 11 defenders. I said at the start of last season Boyata was nowhere near good enough for the CL but Rodgers obviously thought he would be fine which was a big mistake. The central defence has been Rodgers Achilles heel, he needs to get it sorted in this transfer window...he should have sorted it in last summers window.

 

Same every year with Boyata, Gordon and Lustig. “Actually they don’t look that bad. Probably good enough for the qualifiers.” Then we get stuck with them. Worrying thing is I’m starting to think these positions still aren’t high on our list of priorities. Maybe a new RB will come in, but Rodgers is still far too forgiving of Boyata and Gordon.

Was our best defender when he joined then went off the boil. Pity he couldnt work to get back in the squad insteqd of whinging in press but he's back at a club he knows well and I'm sure he'll do a job for them. All the best

this is true ,did see him back play a huge part in our invincible season and double treble for that matter

 

Aye £1m reportedly but they did have to pay a significant loan fee to get him in January apparently so probably clawed back out £1.5m outlay

Pace is king in a BR side , Erik didn't fit the bill much like Commons and Johansen before him.
