Thought Waghorn got plenty of joy from both..

They looked like rookies together, in my opinion..

 

Had a bad game yesterday, Waghorn was doing quite well against him and they were pressing up on us when we were building play from the defence which probably made it a bit more nervy for the back four. A lot of the play from the back was hurried due to the pressing and I think this is why we struggled at times to get anything going.

 

Like him a lot, especially as a person and his leadership qualities. Unfortunately I don't think he is the long term starting 11 answer to take us forward in Europe. Strong as an ox, usually composed and relatively comfortable on the ball. Been caught out on a few occasions this season against better quality, I think his weaknesses lie in not being particularly strong in the air, pacey or alert when reading the game. Great squad player, hopefully he can improve with time but I have my doubts.

 

still think sviatchenko and simunovic are our best pairing, i honestly do think boyata is flattering to deceive at the moment,

 

He's really been frustrating me as well. He's been pish recently. Boyata and Jozo next week please

 

I've began to wonder whether Boyata might just be in the shop window.

There were rumours of Anderlecht being interested, maybe we're playing him in the hope of getting a wee bit more money out of a club?

 

None of the defenders are good enough for the CL.

 

Jozo could be, after all we didn't see alot of him in Europe. I think Erik or Boyata will leave in the summer, as will Kolo, and we'll sign another experienced centre back and have Ajer and Erik/Boyata as backups.

 

It's looking like we may need a number 1 centre back to come straight in..

Boyata worries me. Sviatchenko has gone right off the boil, and our best of the lot Simunovic, has niggling problem's..

A solid head like Kolo coming back in (ok he had a shocker at Fir Park, so what), wouldn't go a miss..

 

It is beyond me how him and Boyata are both playing ahead of Jozo just now.

 

He's been particularly * lately but I've never seen the fuss. His positioning and concentration are poor.

 

Was terrible on Sunday imho. Has basically played himself out of the team in recent weeks/months.

Would like to see Jozo given a chance alongside Boyata and also bring Toure back into the mix. Still think we could do with a commanding centre back in the summer.

 

He got ragdolled by big John Sutton the week before as well, he's either carrying a knock or the EPL interest has turned his head
Either way he needs a spell out the side even if Jozo isn't fit we can slot big Lustig into CB or Kolo

 

Neither of them are the answer at CB, their done.
It's possible we might have to buy two new centre backs in the summer.

 

Jozo is fit mate..

 

I no but long term there's doubts

 

That's even more bizzare then..

Worrying if he's being purposely left out and then possibly off, if that's the case, then we're left with an underperforming Sviatchenko and a ropey under pressure Boyata..

I was just starting to think up until the last few week's, that we were ok at the back..

 

I wouldn't panic too much mate, we've been a little off the boil but still undefeated. One CB in during the summer though. I'm not writing Sviatchenko off either but would expect Simunovic to start v Dundee.
