    Daily Rancid: "CELTIC target Erik Sviatchenko has yet to sign for the Scottish champions but has already had his Wikipedia page sabotaged to say he 'sings rebel songs' and 'hates the Queen'.

    Bigots latched on to the fact he is likely to become Ronny Deila's latest signing today.

    Left-back Sviatchenko is reportedly on the verge of signing a three-and-a-half year deal at Celtic Park.

    And earlier today his Wiki page was changed to say: "Erik Sviatchenko is a Danish football defender who plays for Celtic and sings rebel songs in the Gallowgate.

    "Before joining he got an anti-zombie injection to ward off (sic) Sevco fans and Tiocfaidh ar (sic) La tattooed on his arm.

    "He hates the queen and will smash all before him in the Hoops."

    Interested to know which part of this represents bigotry. Sad, sad *.

    Honestly, if this is what passes as news for these papers, the sooner we all stop reading and buying in to their *, the better.

    In fact, the fact that it could have been edited by anybody, could have been them, lets claim defamation of the celtic fans.

    As for the signing, excellent news and I hope it gets over the line.
    A quality winger and get ajer on board and I will be happy going in to the qualifiers with what we have (providing no other issues or drop in forms arise). Get in to cl proper and I expect a quality striker to work woth Griffiths and a quality keeper.

    Gordon isnt a quality keeper? I'm not against adding another one maybe on loan but thats not a massive need right now, Gordon can get the job done for us in Europe IMO.

    This will go against the grain, but I think he has shown enough mistakes over the past 18months to suggest we need better for the top league of champions league
