    Imagine we did sign him. * Eoin Doyle, Leigh Griffiths, Anthony Stokes and Scepovic would be our forwards had we not been granted the extension we needed to get Guidetti on loan. Even with Guidetti it's still disgustingly mediocre overall.

    Please don't do it, Peter. I'd rather sign nobody, and I know you love not spending anything. It's a win win.

    27 games, 22 goals, 6 assist's this season. Scoring a goal every 111 minutes.

    That still doesn't take away from the fact he was pish up here for 2 seasons.

    Looking at the list of top scorers in League one over the last few years doesn't fill me with confidence, the only one that has done anything relevant since is Jordan Rhodes. Paddy Madden, Sam Baldock and Craig Mackail Smith were all average championship players.

    The only reason I can see us going for this guy, is in hope that he becomes a cult hero like McCourt.

    Which says it all about Lawwell. Rather than splash it out on proven talent, go for dross that the fans will joke about and give nicknames to.
