Yeah his passing was quite slack at times, but I don't feel anyone can be blamed for the goal apart from Brown. Thought O'Connell was good in the air though

Decent performance for a 17 year old to be fair.

Hopefully gets a couple more starts till the end of the season

Think he got his positioning slightly wrong at the goal, he needed to be a yard or two further over to the outside player and then when it looked like he was doing this at the last second checked his movement over a little which put him on his heels when the final pass was made.

How did people think he played? I don't really remember him having much to do in the second half and I do remember his making an absolutely woeful pass to izzy about 20m behind him that went out for a Hearts throw in.

Never been impressed with him and I'm sure he wouldn't have even touched the bench had we not had Matthews and Lustig injured but would be great if he came good.

Good player. Better at right back than Ambrose anyway.

Very tidy on the ball, even I don't notice that many mistakes from him :smiley-laughing002:

I thought he did alright. He looks a lot more composed alongside a first team defender as opposed to being thrown in along with another youth player.

I really don't rate him at all. Always just looks a mistake waiting to happen, he's still only young though so I'd hope he gets a chance to improve and become a good player for us. I really can't see him cutting it though. When we have everyone back for it's hard to see him getting a lot of game time, maybe a loan deal in January would do him good.

From the very little we have seen of him, I haven't been impressed to be honest. I think his distribution is terrible. Still very young though so I won't write him off yet of course, but he does need to vastly improve in my opinion.

Think it's a lot harder for young defenders to break through - specially here with our pressure and demands.
A young defender makes a mistake, it usually leads to a conceded goal, and he will get pelters for it.
A young striker makes a mistake, and it's usually the wrong pass/shot and we see it as him trying at least.

Not seen enough from O'Connell though to figure him out, but I'd agree that loan deals for our defenders may be a better option. We can't risk playing them too often, and thus hinder their development.

He was actually postionally good last night, nowhere near his worst game..

Can't pass wind though, would do wonders with a January loan, still won't make it here..

I think he's *. I haven't been impressed at all in any of the games I've seen him play.

He's one of the worst players I've ever seen in a celtic shirt.

Will never be good enough, good to see folk getting behind him as they should but it is fairly apparent already he won't make it.
