I'll admit serious work has got to be done but Rome wasn't built in a day. We're doing great in Europe still in the cup and are still favorites to win the title.

I think the OP does these thread purely for attention.

 

i think we have decent players ... and if Ronny reckons the fitness is improving then that only leaves the system/formation.

it is not the excitement he promised the fans. It's not entertaining. It's not just one game and it's JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH

 

I called Miku and Balde duds after about 15 seconds of watching them.

We probably deserved to lose both games but got a bit lucky. And obviously we got embarrassed in the CL.

Thing is, fitness isn't everything. A passed ball will travel faster than any dribbler in the world can run with it. Deila is constantly going on about fitness but we're unable to bury some gilt edged chances.

Commons looks like a broken shell of a man. He's in the last 8 months of his contract and I don't think he's of a mind to stay on.

Ronny talks a great game, his philosophy is good, JC as assistant is good, players are good (ok , decent), stadium is good, fans are good (great sometimes), training facilities are top class...

You have to get over this, 'selling every decent player' *, if Lawel didn't sell those guys when he did they would all have been gone at the first chance...for nothing. Welcome to 21st century football.

 

The way he stropped up the tunnel as soon as the whistle was blown tells me he's getting fed up, maybe fed up with the job, or just fed up of the players not playing for him.

 

Yes the crowds will get smaller, and we all know why, or we all should know why. This team proved on Thursday night that they can play football, and they can defend. On Thurs night every player played for that jersey, every player fought for every ball, but then you look at that pish poor apology for a Celtic team today, and it just makes you shudder. I honestly don't think the guy (Delia) has a clue, ok he talks a good game, but then so does Mark McGhee, and who the * would want him at Parkhead.
I was all for giving him a chance, but what exactly has he delivered ? Two, maybe three good games/results, but what feckin else ? I don't think there is a good bond between the management team and the players, maybe I'm wrong, but then again maybe I'm right. One things for sure, and that is that I'm not prepared to put up with results of the sort we had today. John Collins ! I adored his skills as a player, but in reality I think his heid is too far up his own jacksie. I will wait & see what happens, but time is fast running out for this pair, and its also running out for some of players too.

 

True. I don't know about the relationship between Ronny and the Board.
Loan signings is quite right not a good thing, unless you've got a clause to buy the lad later. Could be helpful for months or a full season, when buying is not a option or we can't nick the really good players, but it's hardly any managers dream.

So, not the best working conditions, but this fella is known for improving existing players, and that's what he is looking at, including better traing facilities, I can't see changing manager would do us any good this season, som let's get behind the team and the manager.

 

This is how we should be looking at the situation.

The harsh fact is that football is a results game, and for us as fans who are used to being so dominant and winning most games a season (especially the last 2) it's hard for a lot of supporters to fathom how we can be getting beat at home to Hamilton and only be 6th in the league. This is probably what will go against Deila as we are expected (by our fans and most of the country) to be as dominant every year.

I agree though, that it's actually a refreshing smack in the face to have teams challenging us. Makes for a more exciting season but the team and the manager need to show they can improve pretty soon.

I am not confident that Deila is the man that we need just now, but I'd hate to see the situation default to Collins, and we know Lenny ain't gonna get the call even IF he would consider it. I hope Kennedy doesn't get tarred with this brush, being part of the set-up at present. At the moment it looks as though we are up * creek without a paddle!

 

It is refreshing, but to their challenge, we should rise, and not falter.
