I'm surprised he managed to spell it correctly to be honest.

So the league on its own, over 80 points is fine? I'm pretty confident Deila can achieve that so everyone should be happy at the end of the year. We are as well out of the CL than going through the embarrassment of last year again so if Ronny wins the league with a decent points total he'll have been as successful as Lennon last year.

I think its safe to say after legias first two europa games we actually came up against a very good team that it was no shock in them putting us out. But maribor im Still convinced we would should be beating them even in our current state

Nope. I didn't say that was fine, we need to improve the domestic cups and we needed to improve on the domestic trophies. And I would want over 90 points.

I'm purely talking about the approach to the league last season, that's what I want to see. We shouldn't be aiming to just do enough to win the league but to absolute spank it, make it ours, we are so far ahead of everyone in Scotland that we should be doing so.

    We should be demanding consistency.

How many strikers did Lennon play in the final qualifying game against Karagandy last season? And, who was the striker?

I know what you're getting at but the start of last season was far, far different from the end of last season. People seem to ignore that.

I don't remember Lennon ever going with 2 up top in Europe. Maybe early in his time in charge, but I couldn't tell you the last game in Europe under Lennon where he went with 2 strikers.

Usually early stages of the qualifiers he would. He also done it away in Spartak for the last half an hour or so with Sammy and Hooper up top.

He wouldn't have went with the same system as Ronny, that's for sure. He was also a lot better at defending than Ronny has shown this season.

Just seems like you're focusing on the one positive of last season to sugar coat the failings, which were huge. Cant say anything negative because then Ronny might not seem as much of a disaster after a couple of months in the job after all. In fact that's exactly what you and others on here are doing, most of whom probably wanted Lennon sacked after he lost in the cup to Ross County not long after taking over.

I don't think you're quite getting what I'm saying to be honest. I'm not focusing on last season, I'm talking about a mentality that Celtic should have about them. I want to see a winning mentality on the pitch. That's what I'm saying.

The example I used was the way we approached the league last season. The league alone.

Try and find one quote from me about wanting Lenny sacked by the way, that just never happened.

And how the * do you get the impression I don't want Ronny to succeed? I'm talking about what I hope he for for * sake :56:

'A winning mentality', what even is that? Are you saying Ronny and the players don't want to win?

Not you specifically but people with a similar attitude towards Ronny as you.

You've been slagging off Ronny a lot, as much as anyone else from what I've seen, seems an odd way to show you want him to succeed. I don't remember you saying anything particularly positive or constructive about Ronny.

Winning mentality isn't a want to win, it's a certain edge that teams develop where you absolutely must not lose and everything goes into making that happen, look at Gordon Strachan's Celtic team, the late winners the desire. He always talked about the fear of losing. Ronny needs to develop that edge into the Celtic side.

Why the * would I want Celtic to fail? That makes absolutely no sense. I hope to * he becomes a better manager than Jock Stein. Right now he deserves criticism though. The positives have been hard to come by, I'm hoping it's a learning curve for him and he develops into what we'll see as a success. That doesn't mean he's exempt from criticism because I want him to succeed. That's nonsensical.

    I don't think I've 'slagged' him either. I've offered criticism but I don't think I've offered abuse.

The hysteria really does make me laugh.

We will win the league comfortably, are in the QF of the league cup and are sitting pretty in Europa League after two pretty good performances.

Delia should be judged at the end of the season or January at worst, when I predict we will be comfortably ahead in the league and looking forward to a last 32 Europa game.

If we go out the Europa in the group stage and are not top of the league by Christmas questions can be asked, until then I'm reasonably content with where we are.

It's not hysteria, it's genuine concern by a large contingent of Celtic fans as we find ourselves strangely back in the position we were with Mowbray.

There is no guarantee we will win the league or indeed win anything under Deila. We are in sixth position in the league looking up at our contenders, papped out the Champions League twice in one season, we have a bunch of discontented players, and our defence is creaking and our forwards have forgotten how to score.

I do not share your optimism in this present situation.
