If he's lost the dressing room then it's the players who are being unprofessional..I would given him time to get rid of the overinflated and misguided egos and if that means some senior players being show the door I'd welcome that.. Nobody bigger than the club.. I wonder if John Collins is part of the problem and fancies the job himself.. After all he has a big ego himself and was forced on Ronny... But that's just speculation as is him losing the dressing room!

If he would have won you would have said yes.

20/20 hindsight is a tremendous thing.

It's a learning curve for him too. Taking over a big club is something he'd never done before. As has been said before, we can't afford the Klopp's, Mourinho's and Guardiola's of this world...unless we get them when they're young and inexperienced. I prefer that kind of risk to a safe but utterly uninspiring pair of hands like Coyle.

But he didn't win and its proved he approached the job in the wrong way.

Learning through developing tactics and philosophies is one thing.

Enforcing foreign methods prior to massive games is just bad management. As I've said, we shouldn't be a playground for guys with absolutely no experience at a decent level, both as a manager and a player without everyone at this club accepting a huge downturn in performances for a prolonged period.

The guy has sound ideas but his ability to execute them is clearly faulted. He is more than one step away from being a manager at Celtic and it's looking like we may have to wait for this guy to learn some basics before he comes good.

If I had hired this guy to manage my company, knowing he hadn't experienced a high level but he did have a very technical outlook which sounded like it would benefit the company in the long term, and he then started of the job by removing all current methods during operations in a key time in the business which then caused turmoil and confusion among everyone in the company. I'd have massive concerns over this guys actually managerial ability.

    This is Ronny Deila.

I don't think he did enforce his system before the Legia ties FWIW. I think he played a kind of "halfway house" system that ended up being neither fish nor fowl.

No doubt about it our form is patchy at best, pish realistically.
But is it Deila's fault? Yes and no. Not his fault the players do not have the intelligence (they managed it in Norway) nor fitness to fully understand what the boss is trying to get them to do.
It's not his fault that he doesn't have his own people around him - i think we'd have 20% the problems we have now if he didn't have Collins as assistant and has his own team around him.
It's not his fault he is having to loan players and/or have players registered late.
I've never been a fan of loan deals - the players just don't give as much.

He has picked the team, he has chosen the tactics (i still think his formation is the right one - it's the 'modern' system played throughout the world now) and how to approach matches.
He is not entirely blameless but he is also on the same regard not entirely to blame.
Sacking him is counter productive and will give our reputation and chance of signing another manager an absolute hammering.

Think it was bad after Lennon? Try recruiting when your known for sacking people before their * has hit the cushion.

It's a fair point, but we are nowhere near CL level at the moment.. Domestically there's been some worrying performances.. I'm not hiding from that.. But we have some flexibility in the SPL to take a chance on a new ideal and ethos..

He is gamble no doubt but short-term sacrifice for long term success/gain...got to be given more time...

We got to remember the proponents of giving Deila more time, may just be giving him an agenda to further weaken our position in the league, we are just sixth, and remember this is a weakened league without Sevco, Hibernian and Hearts, even Mowbray didn't have that advantage, and if we exit Europe before Christmas it will be catastrophic for the fans and the the club's finances.

I think if we lose to Ross County, Deila will be gone.

Pretty fair post. Can't argue with much of that.

Pretty much agree with all of this! We don't want to become a club who dispenses with managers so freely!

He's actually doing a decent job in a tough EL group so far. Domestically, it's been awful, but I agree with Senna: stick with the transition and give him a fair amount of time. It's not only the fair thing to do but also the most sensible for the club.

We over achieved under a manager like Lennon, who's philosophy was to win at any cost- be it trample the weak teams or park the Wanyama against European giants. Every dog has it's day and fair dos, Lennon had filled his boots. Surely it should have been a case of following that up with like-mindedness, a continuation of the good work in getting us (and keeping us) at the highest we could likely be? It had Steve Clarke written all over it from the start.
I'm not saying that I wanted Clarke in at the time. Like any FAN that is not paid to be a guru in the field, I gave into the idea of a fresh start, a new beginning. *, is that not what we would all give our left testee for? Doesn't happen. For PL to Be as blind?.....

Exactly, the board have made their bed and now they must lay on it.

We as fans must endure as its all we can do, or we walk... oh wait, Parkhead is emptying.

Not only are they frustrated at a manager that requires a fir bit of time to adopt his style(I can accept that)

They're also being asked to accept the shafting the board have been dishing out for too long now(No one accepts this)

It's all too much at the one time. It's a * mess and its * a sad state of affairs.

We should be far better off than what we are just now. Our house is not in order at all and we've had a free reign in this league for years now to build something small but stable.

We've had no one to cause us difficulty in the league except ourselves. Blatant

I can see the thinking behind Deila's appointment and, at the time, it seemed far preferable to other options being discussed.
However, I have seen absolutely nothing in almost 3 months now that would suggest that Ronny has the slightest idea of how to make a success of this. It's ok saying give him time, but surely he has to show at least something soon.

Sorry. Great artist, great song, loved the way you found a brilliant way to post the lyrics in Celtic Chat that was totally relevant.
