When was the last time you were actually entertained or inspired by Celtic's style of play (except for the anomaly of the recent Dundee Utd game, and of course the Champions League games against Barcelona, etc)? Under both Ronnie and Lenny so much of our play has been stolid and boring; lateral passing, a lack of genuine pace with an inability or unwillingness to create a threat from broken play, an excruciating lack of creativity and penetration. I don't think the SPFL's too bad, this year. It seems like a lot of teams (Inverness and Hamilton, for example) are doing wonders with what they have, building committed and lively teams based on local juniors, whilst Celtic, with all our comparative resources, seem to go through the motions, as though we merely expect to turn up and our opponents will turn up their toes for us. This isn't happening. Nobody in Scotland fears playing us. And I can't blame Ronny for this; there's something that's developed in our footballing culture that is seemingly resistant to change. I deeply dislike the loss of the Celtic ethos in the way we play the game, how we've all become customers rather than supporters. I'm disgusted by the fact that our club, with its charitable foundations, doesn't pay it's employees a living wage. Many times I've wanted to walk away, cancel my Celtic TV subscription (because the service provided is so poor). It'd be easy for me. I live in a country town in Australia where nobody even knows what Celtic is. But we're Celtic supporters, it's in our blood, it's our identity. Every time I think about walking away I'm left wondering what identity I would have without Celtic. And in the end I remain a Celtic supporter because of my brothers and sisters, the worldwide Celtic family. It's how I define my sense of Irishness generations after my family (and probably yours) were forced to leave Ireland. So I say we stick with Ronnie. He comes across as a good and intelligent person, and I think he has integrity. He's still coming to terms with both Celtic and the Scottish game. Despite everything, I think he's handled himself well. Whatever's wrong with the way we play football at the moment can't be laid at his feet. Not yet, anyway. He's our manager, and we need to get behind him. HH :shamrock::shamrock::shamrock::shamrock:

The end of the season. Give him the January transfer window, let him try and ship out the duds such as Stokes and some of the old guard who seem to be struggling with having to live like professional athletes who earn thousands of pounds a week and have him bring in players who are willing to give his methods a go. I really cant see us not winning the league so he really should be given a season and if its still as bad at the end of the year as it is now then punt him. But what do we really gain by getting rid of him now? We've made a decent start to our Europa campaign and the league results should pick up, I don't know what another manager could come in and achieve what Ronny cant.

I certainly think it's too early yet and would like to see what happens when Forrest, Matthews and Lustig are fit and see how he plays the team and what if any improvements are made to performances, tactics and results.

It wouldn't surprise me if he didn't use them or played them out of position but let's wait and see.

The Europa League is still going well points wise albeit we could just have easily had 0 points in those 2 games and if we don't get through I would certainly be looking to get someone else in.

I still think Collins is part of the problem and maybe in hindsight not a good choice as right hand man.....we will see

The problem is higher up the tree than Ronny Deila, the biggest problem we have are the ones who hired him in the first place.

...quoting anything connected with Vincent Tan wisdom or lack of it is hardly a viewpoint to take seriously........I wouldn't be surprised if Russell Slade (who was on the verge of being sacked a few weeks ago due to poor results) was behind Ron Atkinson and fat Sally on his short list

I'm not happy with performances of late but Ronny has to be given time. Neil Lennon was massively underrated in my opinion and whoever came into the job was going to have a tough time. But Ronny's definitely not had it easy, with the team loosing Sammy and then injuries to key players, like Brown in particular for the euros and then having all 3 established right backs, two of which are argueably some of our best players, injured and then not to mention Forrest, who will be invaluable to Ronny's style!

He was also left with no real centre forward in my opinion, which just makes matters even harder. He's had some time to bring players in but he's had to make quite a few changes to important positions and this dort of things takes time. I give him til the end of the season to fully pass judgement - but i want to see some vast improvements in performances soon!

    Hail Hail

.....and this is the bigger picture and the real crux of it

Just look at a barely half fill stadium on Sunday to see what Lawell and cos "vision" for Celtic is doing to this great club

A few dozen chanting after Maribor outside the Main Stand was the real culprits getting off way to easily

One thing I will say about Lawwell, he certainly knows how to wrap fans around his finger. After the exit against Maribor, the anger from almost everyone was being vented in his direction. Then he does an interview, more than likely being asked questions he had written himself, and since then, fans have turned against Deila, and Lawwell and co have been given an easy ride. The problem with Celtic is not Ronny Deila.

I must be missing something here. Didn't know much about Swedish premier league so had a look. From what I can see Henrik didn't get Falkensberg promoted. That was Hans Eklund, who left after promotion - don't know why. Henrik took over and with 3 games to go Falkensberg are 1 point above automatic relegation having won 8:27 games.

Now Henrik is a Legend with us as a player and I wouldn't want that tarnished. So having secured Ronny who, for all his failings, has had success in Norway, would I be happy getting rid of him and bringing in a manager who (it appears) took over a promoted side that is close to getting relegated back down with a 50% loss ratio? Not for me.

    This this this this this.

Ronny is the man and manager he is.

I've got no doubt he gives 100% to get us the football and results we want.

If we aren't doing as well as we should be then the blame certainly has to carry further up the ladder.

I don't want him out yet, but we shall see how he does in the domestic cups and if he can get us out our EL group.

Then and only then I think it's fair to want him gone

I will give him until the end of the season before I pass any judgement.

Despite the results, I just have a feeling he is trying to improve the squad and give it a bit more of an edge, some of the results and performances have really been a long time coming and should have been evident with some of the displays under Lennon last season.

Personally I think the attitude of the players are rotten, they seem to have become far to comfortable in their lives and pay packets to care enough about going out and trying to win every game.

That is what I feel Deila is up against and what Lennon was up against in his final season the only players that seem to be giving 100% are Gordon, Brown and Kayal (even still this poor * can't get a regular game) and I won't include the new starters just yet.

Ronny has had a horrible start to his management here with so many people out injured and what is worrying is how we rely on Brown far to much as captain it's as if without him they all become a bunch of school boys.

I can't explain why or provide proof as to why I think Ronny will come good it's nothing more then instinct that tells me and I honestly think once Lustig is back and he offers some solidity to the back four next to JD VVD and Izzy things will come good.

I think alot of you guys are just over reacting.

It took Lennon 3 seasons and a spend of almost 30m to build a team.

    2010/11
Lennon had a good start to the season but then we were pumped in Europe, Braga,Utrecht.

    2011/12
Lennon had lost 3 games out of his first 9 ...Remember the Kilmarnock game where we were getting beat 3-0 at half time,Lennon has publicly said he fear for his job that day.It took him 13 games to get them out of that dip.

    2012/13
    First 10 games 2 losses 2 draws 6 wins .
We won the title that year but every 4-5 games we were getting beat.

    2013/14
Almost the perfect season ..Lennons spending at this point is almost 30 million.
Lennon left his job as Celtic manager.

    2014/15
Ronny takes over ..has to do with what is it 4 loan players and one 2.6 million signing.
Hes had 8 games 2 losses (one where he played a team of youngsters)2 draws and 4 wins .
We are top of our Europa League table group with a great chance of making progress.

This "Enough is enough" bullshit ,are you having a laugh ??

This topic is farcical, give him the season, we lost one game at home which we dominated. We lost to ICT away, a hard fixture, with a reserve team, all of these results have come after a European game. Chill out and give it time, worst case scenario we win the league and nothing else and we let him go at the end of the year at no cost.

Sorry but if it wasn't for Craig Gordon then we would have been on the receiving end of multiple heavy defeats, we are a complete defensive shambles and simple passes are splitting our team wide open and time and time again he isn't learning.

Who is the old guard and duds? our top scorer commons? Our former POTY Mulgrew?

He has brought in 5/6 players to add to the squad, yes we had a depleted squad but they are still good players, it seems he doesn't have the players behind him and that is never good.

Why just give him one season? Why not give him 2 or 3?

First season Lenny won 92 points in the league and won a trophy. Can you see Ronny getting anywhere near 92 points this season?

Again, all I want to see is a steady growth of improvement as we are Celtic we dwarf our opposition in every single aspect in the league.

    It's hardly asking the world.
