To be fair though that wasnt even a dive and it was at the half-way line and not for any kind of advantage.

I genuinly cannot recall a Celtic player ever diving to a get a player sent off or to win a penalty? Celtic players have went down easily for fouls before or dived for fouls but I cant ever remember a real instance of cheating.

Like the Lafferty, Lovenkrands, Hutton and McGregor collapses from non headbutts or the Broadfoot, Aluko, Boyd, Prso dives for a penalty.

Arsenal have a team full of divers. They always have. Far, far more than Celtic ever has.

McCourt (in 3-2 loss to ICT) and Stokes (Final v Kilmarnock) both dived trying to win a penalty rather score/pass. Especially Stokes he went down despite being in an easier position to score.

 

Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool all have divers, Spurs have serial diver Bale. Chelsea have Hazard, Luiz and Ramires who throw themselves to the ground constantly.

 

It's not luck that you're seeded 1st.Only English team to have it hard are Chelsea in the same position (and only the once)

 

No they don't. I'd ask you to get proof but I doubt you will.

 

Liverpool's won 5 European cups by that logic over the last 30-40 years it would be stupid to support Celtic over Liverpool cause Liverpool have won more trophies. As I thought you're just a gloryhunter.

If you or any other arsenal fans were asked 6/7 years ago before the emirates if you would rather finish 3rd or 4th for the next few years without winning anything or win a CL, FA cup , league cup etc but wouldn't finish in the top 4 constantly theres not a doubt in my mind you pick the latter, winning the CL is the ultimate achievement not just participating in it.

No, what would be stupid is to try and argue that not winning anything is better than winning the best and biggest prize in football. Which you seem to be doing.

 

Just because the ref said they were dives, doesn't mean they were. As I recall they were both dreadful decisions against us (again). Particularly the LC final one.

 

Fair point, although I reckon many other chairmen would have pulled the trigger on Martinez, particularly the season before when they pulled off a miraculous recovery.

I doubt we'll see them back any time soon, there are some 'big fish' in the championship.

You're in denial if you think that wasn't a dive, he was upright on two feet. Yes he is touched, minimal contact, but he dives to the ground trying to win a penalty when he should burst the net.

The McCourt one as well, dying seconds of the game he wastes the chance to score/pass n he runs it out of play - takes a wee dive to try and win a pen.
