it * annoys me, wen i say to my mates how gd larsson was, or how good boruc, naka, mcgeady, skippy or any celtic player is, their only answer is that its in the spl. even wen boruc did as gd as he did in euro 2008, they stil dont give him any credit.

Why do English teams get so much money?

 

Sky TV. Why? Because it's a more exciting league. Why? Sky money.

It's a vicious cycle, but also you have to consider that there isn't much competition in the SPL and that's not helped by the fact that Celtic & Rangers buy any good players that the other SPL teams have.

Celtic have lost only once to an english side in a competitive fixture since 1986 and that was at Old Trafford and they only won that threw a dodgy penalty (Giggs diving).

How many teams has a record like that against English clubs bhoys? No other club thats who!

its no wonder the rest of the football world, or the world in general, hate the english. it would be hard to find a more arrogant kind of people than the english. every world cup, euro championships england are going to win apparently. ive just grown to ignore the english, and realise they know very little about football. the premiership has also got to be the most overrated league in the world.

 

English arrogance like always thats what i hate most about them, when we are more successfull than half of there teams.

its the utter contempt that the english show that turned me away from watchin english football, i just cant listen to the commentators and their pish. doesnt matter what we do up here they will never give us credit. during the uefa run it was "oh blackburn will do you" then they got swept asideand it was "but it wasnt a man u or a liverpool" so we then do liverpool and it was "liverpool had an off night" same with man utd in the naka game. if english footie is so superior and they are the greatest when was the last time an english manager won their own league.

Yeah cause there its lots of competition in the EPL, Man utd and Chelsea and thats it and they do the same they buy all the good players any of the other teams have e.g Ashley Cole Joe Cole Wright Phillips Rio Ferdinand Saha Rooney do i even need to continue the list is endless.

Another point is our media hate our teams they always look for controversy and ways to put our teams down always saying we punch above our weight and get lucky, You go down south their media love them saying they are the greatest, we need the scottish media on our side promoting scottish football!!!

 

i was born in england but im irish at heart, and i absolutly detest the english arogance, i get all tht "mickey mouse league" crap all the time, there so arrogant when they r clearly glory supporters, bet they cudnt name a starting 11 for their supposidly supported team and i bet they have never seen them live
its because their shallow, they dont watch scottish football so its not important according to them, i wud agree tht the other teams arent brilliant but Celtic for sure are one of the biggest clubs in the world

all very true. This current squad is lower mid table by premiership standards. And I agree about the CL as well, the crowd is more valuable than people reaslize in these home games.

 

The amount of money in English football is just ridiculus and I detest the English Premier League because of it. It does my head in that it's the Premier League not the EPL and FA intstead of EFA, like they're above everyone else. Most kids at my school are Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea fans and their arrogance is unbelievabe. When you tell them you're a Celtic fan they'll say, "But what English team do you support?" as if it is obligatory to have one. I don't care what anyone says about Scottish football. Look at the number of Scottish managers and players who have become legends for English clubs, we have noting to be ashamed about. Celtic is something special and I don't believe any club in the world comes near us. Yes, the EPL has every game broadcast in every country but Celtic is more than that and supporters of these English clubs will never experience the feelings we feel for our club.
