The entitlement and arrogance of English fans is staggering.

My nan would score 40 in the SPL. Says some * who supports Bristol City or some *.

If ever there was a game that showed how worthless VAR is, that was it. 2 stonewall penalties turned down. Waste of money.

Forrest will be a better addition to the league, however Huddersfield were cheated there. 2 blatant penalties ignored both by the ref then VAR, total joke.

Grimsby promoted and they did it the hard way. Won all three playoff games in extra time after conceding first.

Being from Doncaster I watched the game yesterday and I have to say MaddHuns performance was disgraceful.

Tbh the tackle that ended in the guy breaking his ankle was much more unlucky than anything else, he actually won the ball and caught him on the follow through very unfortunately. Can see why he just awarded a yellow but can also understand possible calls for a red.

The Tomlin red was much more like Maddhun. It was comical.

Yes Tomlin wasn't moving back 10 yards and threw the ball away a little, fair enough. Yellow card.

Then he kicked the ball away and Maddhun runs over, but he wasn't going to book him again, he was telling him that's it no more, move back.

Now the true Maddhun makes his appearance known.

Jamie Walker, ex hearts and fellow Hun supporter, runs over and stamps on Tomlins foot, Tomlin goes down (maybe a little theatrical) and Walker looks over to Maddhun, Maddhun looks at his mate, Red card. Disgusting. Didn't even try to get to the bottom of what had happened just thought "ah it's my pal Jamie, I believe you"

We are well shot of this * up here and the EFL are an embarrassment for hiring a * like him.

Saturday 3pm live football TV blackout could be scrapped in revolutionary change

The EFL are reportedly considering doing away with the 3pm blackout rule, which prohibits matches being shown on a Saturday between 2:45pm and 5:15pm in the United Kingdom

The EFL are considering scrapping the 3pm blackout rule from the start of the 2024-25 season.

The 3pm blackout, which has been in place since the 1960s, stops matches from the UK and around the world being shown between 2:45pm and 5:15pm on a Saturday in order to protect attendances in the football pyramid. In UEFA countries, "Article 48" says that on Saturday or Sunday, there must be a window when no live football can be shown on TV.

The blackout has come under increasing scrutiny in recent years as football viewing habits change and more people consume their football online and through streaming, sometimes illegally.

According to the Daily Mail, the EFL are ready to make all of their matches available for live broadcast, thus ending the 3pm blackout, in their next TV rights deal from the start of the 2024-25 season.

It is claimed an invitation to tender will be sent out this week, with the EFL targeting new media outlets such as Google, Amazon, Netflix, Facebook and Apple, as well as traditional domestic rights holders Sky Sports and BT.

The tender document is said to offer prospective broadcaster partners the chance to submit their own proposals rather than offering a set number of games as the EFL board aim to get a better deal than their current £119million-a-year contract with Sky.

With no hard and fast number of games or set contract length in the document, the EFL are making it clear they're willing to ditch the blackout and televise every game in a move that will divide fans and clubs.

However, maintaining the sale of exclusive rights for a select number of matches to one broadcaster will also be considered.

The Premier League will be keeping a close eye on the EFL's rights tender, with some of the division's big clubs itching to get a slice of the streaming pie. Some clubs, especially those with American owners, feel the Premier League's rights are undervalued and see streaming as a potential way forward in the future.
