Wow! amazing over-reaction in here. I thought he started really well then after 30 mins he looked dodgy again.

Yeah I thought he was ok too, nothing like his former self though. A couple of times he put us in danger by what looked like a lack of vision, like when he got the ball well enough but missed Mulgrew making a great run up the wing and squared it to a Benfica player instead. Maybe he's unconfident after the injury, it is a sportsman's worst nightmare being sidelined. I hope he gets it back soon because the energy and momentum he creates when he darts down the wing gets his team mates in an attacking frame of mind, something that seemed a bit lacking to me last night.

Who would you have replace him?

he mixed the good with the bad last night. the make shift team and new combinations all over the park didnt really help any of the players.
I'd have liked Lennon to have started charlie at LB and Izzy at LM - reckon Izzy could recover his form and attacking sense more quickly from LM.

Izzy is going thru a tough time at the moment no doubt, but all this he is a pish player is nonsense. You can still see his ability. I have no doubt by the end of the season we will be looking back and he will have recovered form to have a good season.

I think people are being massively over critical of Izzy here. He never had his best game, I'm not suggesting he did, but he was no where near as bad as some in here are making out.

Was surprised to see Izaguirre play so poorly. Wasn't surprised at all about his substitution. Really hope it's just a confidence problem.

Bit nervous though, especially after the yellow card.

He made a lot of nice dispossessions.

definitely needs dropped for a while, was absolutely awful last night, worst player on the pitch for me. He couldnt keep possession, he couldnt win it either.. gave away for too many free kicks and lost the ball in really dangerous areas

    Kyogo. A phenomenon
Looks bereft of confidence and, as is often the case, positional awareness. Question is, how long will Lennon persevere?

One of the poorest players along with Forrest last night.

He looked alright going forward I thought. Made a great interception near there box and whipped in a cracking cross, unfortunately Miku had drifted out wide so we had nobody to get on the end of it. Defensively he looked shakey, however I don't think he was helped much. Wilson was uncomfortable bringing the ball out on his left foot, so played it short to Izzy a lot putting him under pressure a few times. A few horror passes from Brown didn't help either. I thought he coped ok with Salvio, his main mistakes were on the ball. However his positioning for his booking was poor. He'll get there I reckon.

Very poor show from Izzy last night. Needs dropped. Along with a few of the players to wake them the * up!

instead of dropping him swap him and mulgrew about and tell them to cover each others arses at the back when needed but give izzy the role of attacking left sided midfielder!

do this and he has to play to his strengths

i think dropping him will be counter productive! and with no reserve team! how is he going to get his confidence back ?

its a confidence issue and playing him in midfield will encourage him to get back to what he does best and that is attacking and putting in dangerous crosses :50:

Not a great show from the wee man last night. Looks as if his confidence levels are low at the minute and he's not a shadow of the passionate and hungry full back he was in his first season. I hope he bounces back.

Agree with this dropping him would be the worst thing we could do if it's down to a lack of confidence right right he needs trust and confidence put in him and maybe persevering with him at lb or even further up the pitch would be he nest thing to do
