Never had Eldorado but used to drink Thunderbird. You don't hear of Thunderbird much any more, I think it was the red label bottle that was a wee bit stronger. We used to mix our wines into our own wee cocktail: Buckbirds or Thunderfast.

Never seen that one. I can only remember 2 types with one being a few percent stronger. I remember thinking it was strange that the red label was the stronger one when we used to associate blue labels with strength like with the blue label Grants and Smirnoff vodkas. Now that Grant's vodka is now Glen's vodka I don't think I've ever seen blue label Glens. I remember it being a few quid dearer but worth it for a 50% alcohol voddy.

    Buckfast, no question.

Although, I remember one time coming back from England (I'm sure) bought a bottle a the finest, only for it to turn out to be the caffeine-free stuff - utterly boggin....

I remember as a skint 16 year old boy jumping in Haddows and was £1 short of a Buckfast, opted for Monkford instead thinking 'how much worse can it be?'...never again.

Aye think you still get old Westminster mate, always thought that tasted like the worst red wine in the world. Is it even a wine?

The one and only time I remember having Buckfast I was already completely pished, so I can't remember the taste or effect. I ended up running out of the house I was in and jumping into a bush, in the back garden.. Don't remember anything after that until I woke up the next day feeling like death and feeling so low I wanted to kill myself.. good times..

Anyway think I'll pick up a half bottle next time I'm in my local shop.
