Brown is a poor man's Park. Sure he has energy and drive, but consistency? NO. He hardly scores and hardly contributes greatly in attack. I would rather see us playing 4 men midfield with Kayal and Ki/ledley in the middle and commons and forrest on the wings.
Plus he is no where good enough to be our captain.

 

How has he not shown consistency? He's played well in most games since returning from injury in January.

 

I rate brown and celtic would be a worse team with out him! as for juarez ~ he showed bags of potential at the start of least season, skill like that does not just disappear, reckon we should keep him for another season yet, hopefully he will justify the price we paid on him

 

Have you not seen his mediorcre passes? Have you not seen his tendency to drift in and out of games?. But i do admit he has played consistantly in his own mediorcre standards.

Nah, can't agree with that. Ki is a poor man's Alonso maybe. And Izzy can't be such a poor man's Evra if Man Utd want him. But yeah, I get your point.

barton v ki? - different types of players both good players your just comparing him with barton cos he plays in the epl.
izzy v evra as above -both very good players evra more experianced for me thats all.
wilson v lahm- ok lahm is world class but why compare him to wilson?

Overreacting a bit Alsy he's just making the point that calling Brown a poor man's Park doesn't mean that he's not good enough for us.

 

Barton is a similar type of player to Alonso, Barton was the first pinpoint passer that came to my head. That article was saying if Evra left they would move for him as a replacment. I love Izzy as much as the next Celtic fan but can not be saying he would start at United with Evra there.

Im comparing him with barton as they are both playmakers, Barton is better. So Ki is a poor version of him going by the last guys post saying that Brooney is a poor Park.
Evra is better, dont try and hide it by saying more experienced. Izzy might be as good latter on but atm Evra is better just say it instead of trying to hide it.
Because Lahm is the best rb in the world, Wilson is our rb and and not as good as Lahm so going by the other guys post is a poor mans Lahm.
Same as above for the Keepers, Forester is a good tall keeper, VDS is better so surly Forester is a poor mans VDS.

How is saying that the Celtic players arent the best in the world having a dig?!? I love our team atm. Whats wrong with looking at the facts, those players I posted are better than the Celtic ones.

I think you have picked me up wrong here Alsy, I was laughing at the fact that the guy I quoted was comparing Brown with a World Class player. There was always only going to be one winner. So I compared our other player with World Class players to show that the same can be said about any of our players.

HAHAHAHAH mate u r missing my point greatly. Players like wilson izzy and forster are of standards that are acceptable quality for celtic while i believe brown is not. It is also laughable that you make such bad mannered comment like that highlighted point. I support celtic because i love the club nothing else. I dont think i need to be told by my fellow supporters to go off and support somebody else just because i made a genuine comment about a player that i do not fancy.

 

Well you where comparing Brown to a world class player so I did it to our other players to show that the same could be said about the rest. Yet you single Brown out for not be Ji Sung Park. I didnt tell you to go off and support someone else. U just suggested that if you are looking for a team of World Class players you wont get it at Celtic in the near future. It is harsh but true.

 

Mate im not looking for a world class player. I just used park as comparison to show what kind of player brown is. I just expressed my opinion that brown just does not seem good enough for celtic, and certainly not good enough for the price we paid to get him 4.4mil.... Oh yea and isnt Kayal world class already?

 

But there is no point in comparing our players to those as they will come out on top. As a Brown fanboys he wasnt worth 4.4mil but there is no point throwing him away now when he has started to play alright. He isnt a stand out preformer but is good enough.

It would be a massive shame if we sold Juarez, in my opinion. I know people will say he hasn't proved himself and that's fair enough but I've seen him enough times to know that he's got more than enough ability to claim a starting spot. I can't help but thinking that he's really struggling to settle in because honestly, I've watched him for his previous club and country and he's a cracking player.

It could be that something has gone on behind the scenes but he's had problems settling elsewhere, so I would assume that's the case again here. I really hope he's settling now and we'll see the best of him next season. Brown wouldn't be getting a look in at RM if Juarez was at his best.

If we get rid of him - we'll regret it.

 

Personally Barton isn't better than Ki, barton is one of the most overrated players ever, who personally shouldn't be allowed to play football ever again and should have remained in jail.

 

Im sorry, Barton is a * but to suggest he is not a amazing is just wrong im afraid. He is one of the most underrated players. He can pick passes that Xavi couldnt even see tbh.
