Efrain Juárez to Celtic

I'm still hoping we sign Salcido. I was delighted we signed Juarez and dissapointed we didn't get Barerra, but if Juarez's attitude is the norm for Mexican players I can see them fitting right in here.

 

Would love salcido too.is there any real chance of us signing him

Probably not, unless Juarez gets on the blower and tells him to sign! :icon_mrgreen: Most of the rumours I've seen are just from fans hoping we sign him as he's in our price range of 2 to 3m. But if it's true Liverpool are after him then I doubt we have a chance.

 

He's going to have a busy schedule next couple of years as Mexico will be participating in 2 tournaments in 2011. CONCACAF Gold Cup, and CONEMBOL Copa America. and then the year after 2012 Olympics.

 

Liverpool re-signed Fabio Aurelio, plus they have Roy Hodgon now who would probably look at players within the uk

barrera is probably kicking himself in the *, efra has being in the last 3 games celtic played and barrera only played about 15 minutes out of 3 games he has been ready!

 

I love the way juarez goes to the defence get the ball and starts attacks plus hes got a great engine, can run for the full 90 minutes plus i think hes gonna be a star for us

Barrera would have been the perfect replacement for McGeady, but after watching Forrest run the lyon left back ragged I am now excited to watch the young man prosper !

The only thing ANY european team has to do to get a Mexican player is show interest on them. Non-stars are cheap and willing to move to other leagues... but you have to take your chances!!!! These two guys were the last of a generation to make the leap to Europe.

Because he played in the domestic league. For international games only on FIFA's days they are called... as any other player in the world.

Usually they play or Gold Cup or Copa America, so we get two national teams domestic and international... hmmmm has been like that because the tournaments take place during 2 full months, and we can't afford to exhaust our players so he'll only play one tournament.

 

He'll play just in FIFA dates, just domestic league players played all those friendlies.

Just Gold Cup, Copa América will be played with the team that we'll use for the Olympics qualifiers.

 

Well guys im just another pumas fan, and, well... Juarez played as RB with Pumas just cuz the stupid DT that had him (Tuca Ferretti) its a bit weirdo, he always changes players from their positions, sometimes works others doesnt, in mexico the press have always said that he looks better with the national team than how he does with pumas, the explanation its quite simple, in national team he had freedom to get ahead in the field while in pumas, seems that Tuca Ferretti tells the squad to avoid attacking... so theres nothing to worry about if you get to read some of the mexican press...

and about his potential... im going to be critic, he runs all match but he still needs to learn lot of stuff, like not to run with the ball and try to get rid of 3-4 rivals, he needs to learn he isnt an skilled player, he also needs to learn how to use his head and also needs to stop doing stupid fouls, i hope he can learn that in Celtic, so youll get a really really good player, but dont spect much from him just for 3 matches, he will never quit a ball, thats rite, but he sometimes does some crappy plays, i know hes still young and can learn a lot and i hope he does, btw dont trust that much in jalex hehe, he tends to overrate pumas academy players...

... and im not trying to say he isnt good, im just telling that he still needs to learn lot of things . cheers.

that stupid weirdo manager (Mr. Tuca ferreti) saved us from going to second division when he got here, took us to 2 league finals and gave us a * CHAMPIONSHIP in less than 4 years, and gave us another championship against our most hated rivals (america) as a player. and no matter what you say helped and guided efrain and barrera to be what they are right now, and that came out of the payers mouth. why do we forget that, i can not believe how * ungreatful we can be sometimes, i have to say this is not common among real pumas fans

-those who think mexicans players are good and can be really really good

-the others who hates mexico and mexicans players,and most of them love spanish football and even want to be spanish

Juarez has a lot of potential and when i say a lot,its really a lot he runs he pass he can play all most every part of the field dont believe his words its full of shitte

I think we celtic fans and mexicans fans havent seen the best version of Juarez right know like the other peolpe of mexico all ready say he is playing 50% or 40 % of his potential

juarez has a decent shot as shown genst lyon lads give him time in da celtic shirt and he'll be a decent sigin!

 

I don't see what he's saying that's so negative. He's not praising the sunshine coming out of Juarez's * but he's not being overly critical. He's basically saying Juarez isn't the finished article yet and hopefully Celtic will help him improve as a footballer.
