I love Efe. I thought barring the goals last night he was good again. The first two goals could be blamed on whoever told them to zonal mark... can't purely blame Efe. 3rd goal he could of done better obviously but that was just a world class striker doing what he does best.

Aye he done well, he looks calm and comfortable on the ball no matter who we play, went dancing past Balotelli, Montolivo, Kaka, De Jong and that a couple of times like he was playing schoolboys in his local park. Pity we dont have 3/4 others with his natural ability on the ball.

Has regained the confidence he lost against Juve, and it shows. He was pretty poor in the second half of last season, but has really found his feet alongside Van Dijk.

He played well lastnite. The guy is a complete athlete. The way he moves by players with ease is class to watch. Hope he can take the silly mistakes out of his game and he could be a top top player

We need central midfielders that have the same composure and confidence as efe on the ball

Brilliant when he's in full flow. If Mulgrew is in front of him I'd like to see him do it more often with Charlie covering.

You honestly think he played well? Was embarrassing how easily he was brushed away by Balotelli for the 3rd goal.

Are you really judging a players performance through a 90 minute game on one moment?

Balotelli is one of the best strikers in the world, Ambrose and Van Dijk kept him quiet for two games... one piece of brilliance that would have beaten most defenders and you are saying Efe had a bad game?

    Nah, not having it.

Ambrose played well last night for me. I wouldn't even be buying a defender unless it was as competition for Izaguirre.

There are far bigger things to worry about than Efe Ambrose just now. Mainly that apart from Scott Brown, none of the midfield or attackers have impressed me enough this season.

I'd love to see Ambrose move into midfield and put Mulgrew with VVD.

That one moment which killed any chance of a comeback? You say that as if it wasn't important.

Where did I say he had a bad game? I questioned how some people could say he was good when he was clearly at fault for the 3rd goal? It wasn't a piece of brilliance, he got shouldered away with incredible ease. It was weak defending.

It hardly killed the chance of a comeback, what if Ambrose had stopped Balotelli we would have magically gone on to score 2 or 3 to get something out the game?

He did have a good game, people have also acknowledged that he could have done better for all the goals never mind the 3rd one. But that is the same for the whole defence. Ambrose the scapegoat once again.

And it was brilliance, fot Balotelli to hold off Ambrose then sort out his feet and play the ball into the far corner... not many players could have done that.

I said killed 'any chance' of a comeback - which it obviously did. The game isn't over at 2-0 with half an hour to go.

He was culpable for the goal so I find it hard to say he had a good game. We conceded 3 terrible goals, our centre-backs shouldn't be getting any praise last night.

to be fair balotelli ran of the back of van dijk and ambrose did well to read it and at least try to cover it but I agree he did get brushed aside to easy. I also thought forster coulda done better with it

With the lack of attacking talent on the park we had, the game is over at 2-0 unfortunately. We weren't scoring 3. That would have meant we would have scored more in the last half an hour, than in 4 and 1/2 games. So yes, I think it's safe to say, the game was over at 2 zip.

Well Ambrose was actually man marking Zapata for the first goal and can't be blamed at all for it. 2nd goal every member of our team who was in that box can be blamed, because they were all caught ball watching. 3rd goal though can be 'blamed' on Van Dijk and Ambrose, but I still think there isn't much they could have done there because Balotelli did what quality strikers do and Ambrose could easily have fouled him, which would have been in the back of his mind.

Apart from that the two of them were solid, especially moving forward.
