I for one agree with that. But Boyata probably has more potential, just needs more match experience (Ambrose has that in abundance). Think both should be kept. Boyata, because given one or two seasons with a decent amount of appearances, he can still come good. Ambrose, because he is a useful squad-player, has experience and a good attitude, and won't throw a tantrum or in other ways disrupt harmony if he's number 3 or 4 in the pecking order.

Neither of them can be trusted. They are both hewn from the same stone.
We have Erik ( still to be judged) and Simunovic ( looks promising), and Mulgrew to come back from injury.

I personally would try an offload Ambrose ( hard job admittedly ) and Boyata. Hopefully we have someone coming through in the reserves, or better still sign Souttar on a pre contract.

Big guy almost * scored a goal the night aswell. He seems to be having one of his purple patches where he does really well for a while. Just hope he can at least not screw it up with an almighty * up like usual and just be reliable. At least I'm not fearing seeing him in the starting 11 anymore. :50:

Always had a soft spot for the big mad *. :celt_2:

Give the guy his due, he's been one of our most steadiest performers in recent weeks.

I thought he was excellent today. In fact his last few games he's looked very good.

Hasn't been said many times before, but I'm not at all bothered by seeing Ambrose in the starting XI now at all. Good for him!

Good defender, he is. Just stop letting him play football and taking risks.

He and the rest of the back four were probably on the ball more than any other player in the first half today.

If we don't have Efe on the ball for any longer than he should be, then we're fine. However, Ambrose kept getting the ball.

I'll give him his due, he was fine on the ball today but there will always be that lingering doubt when he is given any more time on the ball.

Yeah he's fine as long as he keeps it simple.
