Because Armstrong came in when Ntcham was hit and miss at the start of the season. It’s also about balance, Rodgers views him as a more defensive type, so it’s Broony he’d be in for, not the more attacking CM.

Kouassi has had to bide his time because of Browns form but no doubt he likes a tackle and can play too, 3m and we would get 3m back for him, strong and aggressive like the hearts game(h) and zenit and showed what he is capable of in a midfield 3. Maybe putting him on loan is no bad thing but with Armstrong possibly going too it would leave us light in that area , McGinn is a possibility with room to improve but for the here and now and champions league i have my doubts we may look elsewhere for an experienced addition such as yaya toure to rotate with Ntcham and Brown.

I’m not saying he can’t, it’s just clearly what Brendan’s thinking is. I think we could have took Broony off more when games were won as well to get him more gametime but tbh, you can’t quibble with Brendan’s results.

who would have thought to bring on Edouard in the 3-2 ,10 men hun game at ibrox, then start him vs the huns in the 5-0 title clincher where he exploded and everyone thought griffiths would start ?, good management and he knows what he has got in his squad.

Wouldn't mind loaning him to Hibs and giving them Allan in a deal for Mcginn who were clearly interested in. Ajers loan to Kilmarnock helped him a lot.

Would be better playing a different position for a better chance at play time?

I like him in the midfield, he sits so comfortably either beside Brown or when he's holding midfield. He is Brown's replacement in that aspect of the game.

Would it be the case with Big Vic and play him in defence or try a Philip Lahm as a full back.

    Mainly for the time being.

    Thoughts?

Yes. The value doesn't matter he isn't playing and isn't really getting the chance a loan move could do wonders for him.

The fact Allan cost half a million, we should take that off our value for Mcginn. I'm not one who really thinks we should go all out for him but it is clear we want him. If he comes in eboue goes down the list (not claiming Mcginn is better but he isn't signed to do the same as eboue I hope). So it makes sense to loan him out and I'd rather he stayed up here to get used to the Scottish game.

Thats all predicated upon the notion that McGinn will magically get this game time that Eboue isnt. Why would that happen exactly?

Why swap one bench warmer for another and pish away 3 million in the process? as well as GIVING them one of our players.

Seriously * baffled by this mcginn lark. You'd think he was * ronaldihio

The guys contact is up in a matter of months, yet we're clearing out our midfielders and spunking millions on a player who is on NO ONES radar apart from * sevco and * sunderland two absolute basket cases.

we should be giving eboue the shot he deserves.

If we sell this * without giving him a chance it would be criminal, different player from mcginn but for me he is a better player and I don't get why he hasn't had more of a chance

He has far more potential ability than McGinn for me

I'm not even suggesting Mcginn is better but it's clear Rodgers wants him and he's used to the Scottish game so yes I think he'll play more.

I'd love to see eboue play a lot more I've liked him everytime I've seen him play but for one reason or another Rodgers isn't playing him. Therefore I think a loan in the spl would be a great move and hopefully we can see his ability shine more up here and he breaks into the first team when he comes back.

Also I do believe Mcginn can become a great player for us under Rodgers.

Needs more game time this season. He’s too good to rot away on the bench.

Not holding much hope for him, Brendan signed him in a January transfer window and we all know what happens then, :D

wonder why we signed this guy

where we are spl limited financially by the country we play in compared to other clubs in other countries not anywhere near our global name, £3m is too much moneyto waste

seems a waste of money to spend so much and not play him especially when we are so far above our rivals

then again maybe if our players had been as good as the season before he would have got more game time

*reading that last line back to myself sounded daft

what i mean is although we won everything in sight last season we were playing well within ourselves had we huge lead in the spl like the season before he may have gotten more play time
