    It was always going to take time.

    His cause isn't helped by the fact everyone in the squad is in form, the 3 in his area of the park particularly so. Only 19, he has to be treated like a development squad player, regardless of the supposed price.

    He came here with very little 1st team experience. Anything we paid was for potential.

    He'll be class. Remember the boy doesn't speak a word of English and he was never going to be rushed into the team.

    He'll benefit immensely from having Kolo Toure around the squad who will help him settle.

    The team he played for previously are no mugs so will have been training at a high standard. Training with us for a year and getting a full pre season under his belt will do him the world of good.
