    I don't remember a lot of Wanyama's early matches. I remember not being too fussed about the signing, because I didn't think we needed another midfielder - we had Brown, Ledley, Kayal & Ki - and I wondered how much game time he'd get.

    I remember him playing against Hearts in a defeat at Tynecastle fairly on in his career and being pretty impressed then. Wanyama just got better everytime he played, hopefully Eboue is the same.

    Wanyama got criticised for being too slow on the ball and being ponderous at the start of his time at celtic.

    I think you may be getting a bit confused.

    His first appearance for Celtic was in the league, he came on as a CB and was very much impressive.

    We were beaten that day.

    But, when he was introuduced it was during a time when we were pretty physically weak at the back and getting bullied left right and centre.

    Wanyama played that day and was barging * off the ball and looked impressive in the air.

    Hes being compared to Wanyama because hes a black defensive midfielder, thats the way peoples minds work. If he was white, wanyama probably wouldnt even be mentioned.
