No panic but for a fairly hefty price tag like that you might expect him to be a bit more first team ready.

Wasn't a good day for him. Fell aff the bench even before he got on the field.

Not sure how folk can build a view of the guy in such brief showings.

Not worried about him yet but he was honking when he came on, like really bad. The game seemed to go on around him, he wasn't picking people up and Dundee players were just running by him. I genuinely can't remember him completing a pass either.

I know he is 19 and needs time to adapt and that's fine but I don't agree with the project, buying for potential excuse. If we really spent £3m on this guy then he should be ready to walk into our first team. We just aren't a team that would or even can, spend that sort of money on "one for the future" if you like.

Like I said though, hopefully just nerves/settling in but I'll be looking for a huge improvement from him before the end of the season.

Put it this way, he has been here 3 months now and he is still behind McGregor in the pecking order.

He's not "one for the future" He's "one for next season". Only reason he's getting games is to get him settled in so he doesn't play as * as he did today in a qualifier next season

I don't think anyone is writing him off. The majority have people have made a point of saying that alongside giving their opinion that he was crap today.

I said as much in the post above the one you quoted. I expect a big improvement from him before the end of the season.

Aye, it'll come. It'd arguably be less of a risk to start him in a match. It's generally accepted that it can be difficult to get upto the speed of a game when you're just coming on.

That's a good point. Another thing to consider is he must be showing up well in training to make the bench in the first place so he has something about him. Definitely not pressing the panic button but huge improvement needed on today.

And how do we not know the fee is to paid in installments which if was the case would work better in developing the player example the 2.8 is finally paid off when we have a finished article

Let's have a look at him after a couple of starts..

Even if he doesn't shine this season, let's see what he's like when fully settled in and with a proper pre-season behind him.

    1. I bet we paid nowhere near £3m for him.
    2. He played 6/6 EL games for a team who got out their group.
    3. He is 19 and if I remember correctly big Vic didn't exactly set the heather on fire first few starts.
    4. He needs to bulk up.

Aye, I'd be surprised if he cost that much.
