    I'm sure when we played man utd pre-season a few years ago eagles nailed Alan Thompson and put him out for the start of the season. Good player though! Got some quality on the ball and puts in a good cross which is something we've lacked for a while

    Forgot to mention that he has totally been found out. Managers know how to silence McGeady and Aiden is to blame for that. It seems he has made no effort to learn new tricks, skills, tactics etc. He's not worked on his shOOting or crossing. The problem with UK and Irish based players is their ego. The difference between a UK ego and a Spanish ego is the Spanish ego's work on their skills and earn the ego. The British players are told when they are young how gOOd they are and that's it for them. England national team. Case and point.

    Eagles is a very good player, but he's really inconsistent & is used from the bench a lot if I remember correctly.

    He can play on both wings too, similar to McGeady. If the price is right, then it's probably worth a shout. Rather have this type of signing (guy with something to prove) than the others mentioned.

    i dont really know much about him but my question is if he aint good enought for burley why would he be good enuff for us. surely our sights should be aimed a little bit higher or am i living in the past.

    You must be deluded. McGeady is completely overrated, a fact most of the fans around me seem to agree with.

    If we can sell McGeady and use that money to bring in Eagles, Lawrence and Bullard, then we will definitely be in a mcuh stronger position.

    I've been driven mad over the last few seasons watching McGeady beat someone on the edge of the box and then blast the ball over the bar. Or beat a man and beat him again and then fail to find anyone in the box.

    Got to disagree with you there mate. Just because they didn't do well doesn't mean they don't work on their skills. Although they do have an ego they all still work hard and practice otherwise they wouldn't be some of the best players in the world. Look at Rooney, couldn't header well before this season but now he has superb timing and get get good power out of them aswell.

    I must admit the UK based players seem a bit more arrogant than the overseas it doesn't mean they don't work!

    I seen him play a few times this season and each time he was exciting to watch wouldnt mind him coming to parkhead hes a decent player.

    Seem him a few times last year and wasn't really impressed with him TBH. If we get him and he plays well for us then fair enough but he does'nt strike me as the type who will roll up his socks and get stuck in when the chips are down.

    Thought he was gonna break through at United, I was wrong though. He's a skilful player, I can remember on soccer am's team-mates he was the most skilful along with Fletcher.

    Finally, someone realises. McGeady is the most overrated player in the team.
    Good Attributes: Skilful, fast
    Bad Attributes: Greedy, bad shot, too weak, bad attitude and doesn't track back.

    My friend told me that he was being a cheeky * outside CP. I also remember him talking to people with quite a tone after the 1-0 Aberdeen home game where Sammy scored but alot of people were asking for his signature so I couldn't blame him for that, he was like "Will ye gimme 1 second tae a get a picture eh!" when I went a few yards behind him to see McManus who was like "Yes, of course" "Of course you can" "Yeah, no problem" Big Micks an awful nice guy :icon_mrgreen:

    Eagles will be a brilliant signing when I've watched him he's been great and hes a steal for £1.5Mil.
    I guess this shows signs McGeady is leaving.
