He should be loaned out. Still has a lot to prove imo. Cant see him getting much game time until the league is wrapped up, even then I'm not sure how much he would feature.

Fair enough, I apologise - let me reword that:

I think it is very moronic posting something on the internet that could land McGeouch in hot water - if you are genuine.

If it's true it definitely would.

Although of course it's not true, so that's all right then.

Not really. He would just say somebody made it up. Jungo isn't exactly a named source.

If it's all true and the club try to keep it quiet and it goes out onto the internet he'd get his balls booted for it. Very much so.

Could even put him in breach of contract. There are very strict guidelines about this stuff these days.

    Dev beat me to it.

Even getting called into the manager's office to explain an allegation doesn't get forgotten about so easily.................

I say again. How could they link it to him? "That Jungo is your best pal, you well told him!"

It isn't true, but if it is then he just says that some crackpot on the internet made it up as is always the case with these stories.

Doesn't matter that, if it becomes known in the public arena, from people claiming to know him, with accurate information that can link it to a player spilling this information and basically leaking it to the general public than he would be punished for it.

I just don't think that's true. How would they prove it was connected to him? Anyone can make up a rumour. What kind of accurate information are you talking about?

I'd be surprised if Lennon took offence to McGeough wanting to be in the team. Specially as that's apparently how Chico got in.

FFS mate what's so hard to understand?

If there is a tension between manager and player, and all of a sudden it is specifically being spoken about on the internet (does not matter who by) - the manager will have every right to think that the player has been opening his mouth to members of the public.

It then gives him scope to question the player and or the team about keeping stuff "in house".

I can come back with the same thing mate.

It does matter by who. Because any crackpot can take facts like McGeouch isn't getting a lot of game time, and conclude that it must be because he has fallen out with Lennon. Sometimes it may even turn out to be true (not saying that it is).

So how can any employee be punished at all without any form of proof? If it was the newspapers then maybe because they are supposed to be held to some sort of standard but even then what about the whole Commons saga?

Who said anything about automatic punishment?

The manager/assistant manager could easily have to have a word with McGeouch about the situation i.e. get his side on it.

That might cause added agro between the sets who have a "difficult" working relationship.

Or you can actually be punished for it. There is non-disclosure of this sort of things.

If somebody says 'Dylan McGeough told me this' and goes on to give a blow-by-blow account of specific information of exactly what has happened between them and that is in the public arena the player will be investigated and eventually punished.

The Internet in particular is no a very, very long list of do's and don'ts for footballers in there contracts. That includes others.

Club information stays behind doors for a reason.
