He seemed unsure of his role tonight it came over as a lack of confidence but in saying that no one played well, it was very frustrating to watch.

No chance did he look out his depth. What he looked like was a young guy making his first ever first team start against a 35 year old with 20 international caps and a wealth of experience against world class wingers.

He'll be fine, these things will bring on his development.

Dead on. Cracking experience for the lad, im sure we can afford him a few average performances when breaking through.

    * help Watt if he doesn't bag enough brace on his next appearance :icon_mrgreen:

Never really understand the hype. Not impressed by him at all but with our great acadamy i have no doubt he will get better.

Played within himself a bit last night, I've seen enough of him to know he can run at players all day and switch play. There was a point he had the ball in the middle of the park with Izzy screaming for it on the left wing and he just laid it off to Ledley.

I have no doubt he is going to be a fantastic player for us.

Expectations of the youngsters breaking through are high and quite rightly so. I feel we have perhaps one of the best development sides in the UK and the conveyer belt of talent coming through is starting to shine. Yet already it appears some expect them to be able to produce world class displays every time they get their chance.

The youngsters are still developing and it is totally unfair and unrealistic to expect them to to be instantly able to step into the first team without showing any signs of nerves or having a below par game. Give the Bhoys time and encouragment and I'm sure they will be just fine.

McGeough, Watt, and many others will all in good time I hope be regulars in the first team and exciting us all on the pitch for many years to come.

Depends what you mean by hype. If you or anyone else are expecting Lionel Messi to come from Lennoxtown then we're going to be severely let down.

What McGeouch is, is the best young talent in Scotland at the minute at his age group. He has NEVER started a 1st team match up until last night, he is not going to be thrown in against seasoned pro's and be the best player on the park he must be allowed to develop and he will.

Some fans are far too harsh. Calum Davidson is one of the most experienced footballers in the whole of Scottish football and isn't an easy player to be up against in an ormal game, nevermind your first ever start. McGeouch will be a good player for us.

I think that starting a game for celtic and doing the huddle for the first time is a big step. Comming of the bench and starting are two totally diffrent things. I think nerves played a part last night. He will come through like he always does.

I dont think hes fast atall. He can run Ovcourse but he doesnt have a turn of pace that i would like to see from a attacking mid/right winger.

Tbf he was playing wide which isn't his natural position. He's a CM.

He himself admitted he wasn't great last night, he was out of position aswell. All the signs of a good player are there though, would like to see more of him.
