    Nothin much between him and comper,slightly favourin comper due to his vast bundesliga experiance.Both same age though comper doesnt turn 33 till june and tosic janaury.Tosic seems to be the one on form though,so maybe hes more capable of playn till an older age.Ideally were wantin the guy with the bigger shelflife and who takes care of himself,we might end up with a davie weir playn till ur 38,thats rare in defenders though.

    To be fair tosic has a pretty decent cv as well.Coupe de france with sochaux,german cup uefa cup runnerup with werder bremen,serbian cup with red star,2 turkish league titles with besiktas.

    Tosic is one of those players which are fit as *, he could run 2 days without stop, he's also very strong. Really humble guy off the pitch, team player, but also a warrior on the pitch.

    Earlier in his career he played as LB, but when he played for Crvena Zvezda he was moved to CB spot for the first time because of injuries/lack of quality CB's at that moment. Here and there I watch Besiktas on TV, and I never saw him playing as LB for them, but that doesn't mean that he can't play in that position.

    He would be a great signing for us, even at his current age. He could cover two positions and bring lots of experience. Given that he takes care of himself, that means that he could play for us for another couple of years without a problem.

    His wife is horrible though, her face is just... I hope seeing her face on this thread won't affect my breakfast. :55:

    I would stil sign this guy and comper,we dont really need another project in defence.We have ajer and ralston.Celtic are a great young side,but we lack older heads.Gordon,lustig,brown,sinclaire are our only older players.

    Celtic have made their move for Besiktas defender Dusko Tosic - but have been told to up their offer by the Super Lig giants, according to reports in Turkey.

    The 32-year-old Serbia international has been heavily linked with the Scottish champions in the past month.


    Now, according to Turkish site Aksam, the Scottish champions have made their move with a bid of €3million (£2.65m). But the report states Besiktas want for €4m.

    Brendan Rodgers has already added a central defender to his squad this month with Marvin Compper arriving from RB Leipzig for £1m.




    But with Erik Sviatchenko departing on loan to Midtjylland on Tuesday there's room for another new face in the heart of the Hoops defence.

    Stoke have also been linked with Tosic, who can play at either centre-back of left-back, but the Turkish report claims Celtic are leading the race.

    The 21-times capped Serb started all six of Besiktas' Champions League Group G matches as they stormed into the last 16 of the competition this season.


    But after signing Domagoj Vida, the Turks are ready to listen the offers for Tosic


    Brendan Rodgers is in the market for a defender

    Tosic last month insisted he is happy with life in Istanbul and will only leave in January if the club want to cash in on him.


    He said: “I have been receiving offers for the past couple of years.

    "In truth, I am very happy in Istanbul. I am enjoying the best time of my life here. We win titles, we are challenging with the best teams in the world and we have brilliant fans.

    “I want to stay at this great club unless the board has different plans for me. I respect their decision but if they don’t want to sell me then I’m definitely staying here and will fight for my jersey.”

    Might be no bad thing having a couple of streetwise defenders In Compper + Tosic as.. we only have Ajer who's got some potential.. Then Boyata and Simunovic don't really have the quality and experience.
