I know he'll probably never play for us again and a lot of people don't like him but,
This season when he came in was definitely our best spell - not long into the 12 game run or whatever it was. We were playing great football and really looking unbeatable. Did anyone else notice this? I don't want to dwell on what ifs however hopefully the new manager will take this into account and may just give the guy a good run over before deciding to punt him rather than just shipping him out straight away. The interest from Italy is still gonna be there in January anyway as it's not like he's enhanced his rep here so maybe worth giving it a shot.

I don't think his Celtic career is over yet it all depends on the new manager.

i think if we get mowbray and he plays the 4-3-3 he could fit in very well tbh
-
i preffer crosas , but would not mind seeing him play again
might have got use to the scottish game :celt_2: -
Mowbray likes passers in the midfield.
He will be given a chance, unless he is desperate to get away. But whether he takes the chance and proves himself is another matter altogether. -
He looks the part when he drives forward from midfield, he has a trick and he can beat a man. His downfall is he wants half an hour to pick a pass when all you get in the SPL is seconds. In that respect it looks like he'll never make it.
I have to say, to his credit, he's played well for the reserves and looked lively. For someone that was the next big thing and cost AC Milan £10 million it must be a culture shock and he's handled it well. -

You're right but I think he seemed to have gotten over that to degree when he came in this season, and he may yet eradicate it.
I remember against Shaktar as well as his goal he made the most ridiculous pass i have ever seen in my life. -

Donati also helps to boost the beauty balance in the midfield ever since Scott Brown has become a regular. -

A reprieve for Bobo also.
Especially if Mowbray comes. He'll like a hard C.B.
???????????????????????????????????????????????? -
Fact is the guy was an absolute scapegoat. You could have dropped 5-6 players at the time Donati was dropped, Brown was mingin also. Fair enough he had some poor games but I remember the start of last season he looked immense scored some lovely goals. Crosas has been pretty poor recently as have quite a few others but because he was a £10 million pound player amazing things are expected.
What * me off about the whole Strachan regime is he never tried a new formation to accomodate players. 4-4-2 and that was it, certain players can perform in different roles and under Strachan nobody got that opportunity. -

i think that the media overhyped him thanks to the 10m fee milan paid for him so that the fans thought he would be world class.
i seem to remember first match he played he had a shot go into the crowd and the commentator(probs the * booth) laughed and went 10m your having a laugh -
I wouldn't mind giving Donati the chance but Bobo would be a no for me.

i think we will see more of mcourt and mizuno also because of the manager going i think the new manager will drop mick for the time bein due to his form and also naylor will get the bullet
-
would definately like to see donati being given a chance. i'd also like to see killen given a chance, i think he could be brilliant for us in the middle of a three up top. it all depends on who we bring in as manager because he'll obviously have his own ideas. so long as he knows a good left back i'll be happy
-
i dont think we have saw the lastof massimo now that strachen has left. i think donati was an easy scapegoat for the wee man. i think he still has a bit to offer the team

well his midfielders dont seem to have done WBA much good, so i am afraid i wouldnt be to keen on him repeating this feat up here, if we get mowbray i reckon watty smith will change his mind and stay on!
