On today's showing he can pack his bags tonight...and take Samaras with him...the two of them were garbage and Donati didn't even look interested.

Donati is a quality player. He looks like he's starting to adjust to the Scottish game.Since the turn of the year he has been very impressive. He should have started against Barcelona IMO.

I think he is the type of player who will forever split the fans.* McGee obviously seems to think that running around a lot equates to having a good game.Personally I think Scott Brown wouldn't need to do half the running he does if he had the footballing inntelligence of Donati.

The guy is a player. He is the record holder of U21 Italian caps and we had competition from Palermo,Sampdoria and Atalanta to sign him.

I think we are a more fluid outfit when Donati plays. We were winning games by 5 goals every second week earlier in the season when Brown and Donati was our midfiled pairing..In fact I think all of our best performances this season have been when Brown and Donati were our CM combination, apart from Aberdeen away when Hartley played.

Donati has been our most productive midfielder in terms of goals and assists despite playing less games than Brown or Hartley.

Regarding his performance against St.Mirren, he was good in the first half, economical in possesion, won the ball back a few times and won every St.Mirren kick out.In the second half he faded out like most of the team.Just because that Hun * Scott Booth doesn't rate him,it doesn't mean he's *.I believe there is a sizeable section in the Celtic support who let their opinions be affected by the Scottish media.

IMO,Brown hid today,Donati didn't.Brown didn't do much wrong but he didn't do much right either.Donati at least tried to get on the ball in the first half.
    Trying to make things happen>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Hiding.

thought Donati was out best player today. Him, Artur, Caldwell (yes mr whippy) and Aidan (considering he was triple marked) were our only decent ones.

Caldwell was passable today as wed idnt see him in the game to much. Having said that he had me going a bit in the last minute when he put the ball out for a corner when it was just as easy to clear the ball for a throw.

As for the other players you mention I agree totaly.

The main problem is the fact we haven't got a settled 4 in the middle of the park, hence the lack of any kind of cohesion in today's performance all over the park

Sounds like more bullshit to me. Donati has had a solid if unspectacular first season so far at Celtic and no doubt will be ever better for us next season once he has fully settled in and got a season under his belt.
Reality is (Boruc/McGeady if fit excepted maybe) we play so many games in so many different conmpetitions that players will be left out of the lineup at different times over the course of a season. Donati is a good player and an important part of our squad. It seems like he is enjoying his time at Celtic while still trying to settle into surroundings and a style which is obviously very different for him.

I hate 2 say it but our biggest problem is that none of our central midfield players are as near the quality of Ferguson!!!
Maybe Brown one day but I'm not even 100% about that.
I think Massimo has plenty of ability but not a lot of consistency.
PS i dont think the Donati & Brown partnership is our best donati drifts to the left and brown to the right in my opinion wee miss Petrov!

donati's problem yestrurday was he just kept trying the hard passes. simple passing would have made man of the match but too many times he tried a diagonal ball up the park with sometimes his back to play and hitting and hoping
