If we signed him I think we'd use him on the right side of attack rather than as a central striker.

If you watch that video he spends a * of alot of time drifting down either wing.

Doesn't seem to be your typical central forward.

Sinclair was a striker in his youth at Chelsea as well. I'm seeing alot of similarities here. Reckon he'll be a winger who can also fill in at striker when needed if he did sign for us.

'Rodgers said that young players, like Solanke, leaving top academies in England were attractive targets for Celtic.

"Unfortunately, there is only so many of them that can play in the first team, but there is a raft of talent and it would be silly for us not to tap into that when the right profile of player becomes available," he said.

    We are in talks. 100%.

Hope we are, hes got so much potential, if this is the type of player that well start bringing in we could be a very good team within 2-3 years if we can hold onto our best players

This loophole must be like music to Rodgers ears. He has a vast knowledge and track record for bringing through top youngster's but now because of the cross border rules, he can snap up the best one's nearing the end of contract for peanuts..

We're in really good hand's here and I expect to see quality youngster's brought in for our first team, and academy..

Rodgers scouted and brought Solanke to Chelsea from Reading at 8. * me. Interesting to say the least.....

I dont think Rodgers would have spoke about him if we werent interested. Hopefully we are still looking at Chris Willock as well.

It's a fantastic loophole for us to exploit. Like you say, with Rodgers work in the Chelsea academy, he'll know about a lot of young players down south with potential.

Its great for us, especially with Rodgers having been at Chelsea as Chelsea seem to have by far the best youth players, literally dozens who are English Championship class at worst in recent years and Rodgers must know some of them since they were kids when he was there or coaches or people still there who he can get tipped off about.

For the second summer in a row we are going to sign an 8 million pound teenage striker for a third of the price of Joey Garner.

  14. The loophole is something we need to exploit more, we've only really done it for Ledley and Moussa.

You can't put a price on Garners goal in last weeks CL final vs Partick Thistle.

  16. Sign this kid and Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham and we'd be laughing.

We can offer them a pretty healthy wage as well, chance to improve as a player, play in Europe, work under a world class coach.

It really is a massively attractive proposition, if a player's head is screwed on. Solanke himself has spoken about he wants to leave for 1st team opportunities, he won't get that at Liverpool.

I think this is a goer.

If he can play wide like Sinclair then we have the replacement for Roberts with out really spending a large fee which has been quoted for onyekuru anyone noticed solanke slips in behind the defence so well

I still think we will sign an out and out winger.

If there is truth in this and we pull it off, I can't imagine this being 1 of the 2 'Blue chip' signings Rodgers has spoken about.

If we are interested in him it'll pretty much boil down to the outside advice he is getting and how level headed he is. Moving away from Chelsea to get game time is a good start, but unless he has an agent like Moussa's they are likely to be advising him to sign for a low to mid level EPL team as the fee (and their cut) and wages will be much higher than we can afford, and the reported £8m development fee is nothing to them.

But if the lad wants to win things, get CL experience, and then get his big money move there aren't too many other places for him to go and get all that.
