    Think this is just connecting the dots more than anything else. Although the lad can go the way of Dembele and Roberts or the way of a player like Bamford who despite a promising spell at Boro has now seen his career stall completely. We are a great option for players like him.

    Learn a winning mentality, how to play under intense pressure and expectation every week, be exposed to the biggest club competition in the world and pick up a few trophies. We can literally give them it all for a few years.

    The fact he can play on the wing is a huge bonus.

    I think this is the type of forward we need, someone who is not just a typical number 9 type. We already have 2 out and out strikers, so that is enough considering we only play 1 anyway.

    If we have a guy like this along with Sinclair who can fill in when needed, then it is ideal.

    Think its a goer considering English teams need to pay 8 million for him it's a very good legal loophole for us and has turned the tide a wee bit when it comes to getting signatures of players and big English clubs are interested

    “There’s nothing much other than I know Dominic well. I took Dominic into Chelsea when he was eight years of age.
    “When I was academy director at Reading I left to go to Chelsea back in 2004 and at that time Dominic was one of the first young players I took in.
    “He worked at the development centres at Reading and when I moved to Chelsea we took him in.
    “I’m delighted for him and the career that he’s had up until now as a young player. He’s a fantastic talent but I can say no more that. I only speak on him because I know the player.
    “He’s a big talent and it’s unfortunate that he’s maybe not going to renew his contract at Chelsea because it’s a great club but he obviously deems that his future lies elsewhere.
    “Apart from that, nothing else to add. I can see where there’s maybe a connection with him but nothing more than that.”
