    am driving over 2 scotland from belfast 4 the motherwell game. i use r plates in n,ireland do i need them when driving in scotland.

    I'm not sure what R plates are TBH, so I think you'd be OK without them.

    I have never heard of them so probably not.

    Over here we use L(learner) and P(if youve just passed) there might be an R but dont think ive ever seen it. Sure you''ll be fine unless you mount the pavement and skelp a few huns on the way.

    u need 2 put r plates up in n,ireland if u pass your test with in a year. so if i dont up them up will i get a fine or something.

    Here I don't think the P plates for a new driver are a legal requirement so ypu should be fine without them.

    No you wont need them then you should take them off when you get over here and then put them back on when you go back. As over here the polis might think what are they and pull you over just for that reason.
