I think bhoyo nailed it from a neutrals point actually... We (Celtic fans) know that NL is so passionate that he will sometimes let his heart rule his head but the other people don't look at it like that and just see him as being an embarrassment. We know it as he's just telling it as he sees it.

No. I think he is very passionate and loses his composure sometimes. if he can just learn to keep his calm a bit more when dealing with match officials. I think there is a bit of naivety there but he is still relatively unexperienced as a manager.

I wonder if this ex ref would be as quick to have a dig at some of the current referees for some of their decisions. Managers like Neil Warnock and Wenger have a lot of passion and give match officials a hard time but even they are not labelled embaressments. But they think because its Lennon its ok to have a pop. Typical.

Rather than Clark's imaginary 'silent majority', if anyone should be embarrassed over their conduct surrounding Neil Lennon it should be:

    • The 'meeja' that have demonized him
    • Those that have send bullets & bombs to him
    • That idiot Wilson, who attacked him pitchside at Tynecastle
    • Those who've threatened his family, forcing them out of their home
    • Those that have plotted to murder him
    • The match officials that have were caught out for lying to him
And that is just a shortlist. In the two years since Lenny has been manager he has had to rebuild the pride in the club, rebuild the team after the shambles Mowbray left behind, brought back the thunder, has a team playing by far the best brand of football in the country, has taken his side to the final of 3 (& possibly 4) out of 4 domestic Cups, missed out on the league by 1 point last year and this year, after having trailed by 15 points going into November to being 8 points clear the day that RFC went into Admin in mid-Feb, has engineered a massive 23 point swing before the Administrators took over at Ipox.

Let's not forget that Lenny in the past few weeks has had a very close friend pass away, has had to give evidence at a trial of two men who conspired to murder him, had the likes of the BBC asking if they could film him being cross examined by that acknowledged bigot, Donald Findlay QC, who was defending the actions of one of those charged - and today who found to be guilty.

As for the silent majority, even ignoring the Celtic cyberspace community - not easily done, considering the impact it has had over the past few years - I don't remember too many of the supposed 'silent' majority keeping silent when Lenny proclaimed that 'this was just the beginning'.

This may be difficult for a man like Clark to understand. Perhaps Clark should be more embarrassed by the conduct of those in the refereeing fraternity - those that awarded penalties with their backs turned, sent players off without seeing the incidents & for being part of a culture where lying to managers was part & parcel of the way the match officials went about their jobs, not to forget that the chief of whom had to be sacked for sectarian 'jokes'.

No, Kenny Clark, we are not embarrassed by Neil Lennon. The Celtic support are behind him all the way, because this man represents what each of us values & takes pride in.

    Embarrassed? *, no.

We re all Neil Lennon. :shamrock:

I hope that Sunday all supporters will stand together and will back Neil Lennon and the team 100%.

I would never say he is an embarrassment. He is a great servant to the club. But, I do feel strongly that he has to show more discipline in heated situations. The more time goes on I think he is realising he has more to lose than anybody else. Fortunetly, Lenny is a bright enough guy and he will learn from all of this.

It is hard to keep this articulate so I won't, the likes of you Clark need to get something that is worth waking up in the morning for otherwise just go back to that stone you crawled from, you and yours are well past boring us to tears now.:56:

Talking about embarrassing, Kenny Clark. Weren't you the ref that didn't even book Duncan Ferguson for that headbutt that he later went to jail for?

    Now, THAT'S embarrassing.
