Is there a limit to where we can go? perhaps in any other business/industry then the economic answer is yes. But this is football anything can happen.....:celt_2: still as someone previously said we play the likes of gretna/st.mirren in polite words non european calibre teams week in week out surely at a detriment to Celtic? no? well we'll never see Celtic on a financial par with the epl/la liga/bundesliga/seria a big guns and that reflects on the quality of player we can lure into parkhead i doubt we'll ever see the likes of Joe McSkelperhunnersofgoalsaseason £150k per week pull on the hoops after signing for £25million.....it's never going to happen (not that i'm bothereed as we have a great scouting network in place to unearth the gems)

So yes playing in the SPL has its disadvantages and forever will have with no light at the end of the tunnel apparent yet.

at the end of the day we can still stun the Man who's of this world and frustrate milan to death......we're slowly chipping away at it. I can't wait until the day that the sugar daddies spit the dummies and walk out on the clubs they've pumped millions into, i can't wait until the player transfer/contract demands get so astronomical that footballs governing bodies have to step in and do something about it before the game disintegrates into chaos (wage caps, max transfer fees, foreign player limits) might not be in my generation though....

    Still...Hail Hail :shamrock:

When I say that, I get statements like the "UEFA Cup is what we should aim for", thank * there is another person that believes that we are making real progress by aiming for the UCL group stage and beyond everytime, I've saying it for the last 2 years+ even with the setbacks. It didnt take a few good results to see that it was going to come though. Hail Hail to the future

I agree. If we can almost beat the eventual winners with just two further games to reach the final then with a lot of luck we could get through to the semis or the final. Smallish Dutch, Portugese and I think Scandinavian teams have got beyond the last 16 so why cant we. We dont have the best 11 players but I think we could mould into one of the best teams. That is how the lions worked isnt it?

We as Celtic fans strive for the best. We do not have the money to compete in the same market as the big guns in other European Leagues but we are in the best shape we have been in my lifetime. As long as we continue to work and achieve the way we have in the last 5 years or so then I'll be happy. We are Celtic supporters, faithfull through and through, and we have never had it so good.:celt_2:

Definately well said Tiesto.......and I think the most important statement in that post is :

"We are Celtic supporters, faithful through and through, and we have never had it so good"

I hope we as Celtic fans can remember this, whatever happens!

Listened to today's report on the epl with interest, did you know that the teams who get relegated from the epl this year will get 27 million!! that's the same as what Spurs got for finishing 5th last season! When we start to get that sort of money from the spl then we have the right to expect CL last 8/4, until then lets burst a lung and sing our hearts out for the team! Do we expect to much..... AYE!!! Lets get behind the bhoys!!
    Hail Hail
