No need to apologise mate, I'm not offended. :50:

however, this is not about blaming Ki, or saying his performances have been pish, it's about who the better partnership is, and to me it is 100% Kayal and Ledley.

Like i said, Kayal on form (which almost certainly will be next to Ledley or wanyama, is a much better option than having no kayal and having an on form ki next to wanyama or ledley.

Ki is a lot stronger, physically, than he is given credit for. Mentally, however, he often shites out of tackles etc.

On that note yes. Going by last year, when on form kayal and ledley should be starting every week.

Aw no doubt mate, I agree with you. Right now there are others ahead of him in the queue but he isn't useless as some people make out (not you, I know)

First choice midfield is Ledley and Kayal for me, however if Ki comes in and plays better than it's him that should be on.

I for one think he's absolute shattered just now, he's played around 30 games this season already.

He's scored 5 and set up 5, which is very good for a midfielder at this point of the season.

Players who * out of tackles * me right off mate, I remember last season I think McCulloch went in for a 50/50 with Ki and Ki * shat it, Whole broomloan stand were going * mental. That's not the sort of player who should be playing in those type of games.

Same as in away games, particularly motherwell away last season, when we got beat 2-0 i recall Ki pulling out of a challenge and it eventually led to them hitting the bar.

There's nothign worse than players pulling out of a challenge in Scotland.

Aye mate, 5 goals and 5 assists is brilliant :50: he's definitley not useless., but in reply to the thread title, no we don't play better without Ledley, however without Ki in the middle and with Ledley and Kayal in there, we do play better, not because Ki's *, but because he doesn't suit playing next to our best player.

Agreed, also a player who only goes in half hearted in a 'crunch' tackle is more likely to get injured than if they went fully for it.

Is it not good to have strength and depth in at least one area? Really think that they can all play their part at some point.

I think where Lenny falls down is trying to accommodate them all in a 4-4-2 formation.

Ki, Kayal, Ledley and Wanyama all CMs and whilst playing 4-4-2 only two of them should play at any one time. This gives us the chance to play with two creative wide players. Forrest and Commons/McCourt even Brown when fit should be vying for the wide positions.

If we were to play 3-5-2 then we could play more to our strengths there's no doubt that we have an abundance of quality in the midfield.

    I would go-
    ------------------------------FORSTER-----------------------------------

    --------------K.WILSON----- - ROGNE ----------MULGREW-------------

    ---------------------------WANYAMA/LEDLEY-----------------------------

    -----FORREST-----------KI--------------KAYAL-------IZZY/COMMONS---

    ----------------------STOKES-------------HOOPER------------------------

Really feel this would be our best formation with obviously Brown/Paddy thrown into the mix. 3-5-2 works in Scottish football with most teams playing one up top against us.

To get back to the original point they can all play their part.:shamrock:

I would also love to see in Europe the formation we had last night:

    Forster

    Matthews K. Wilson Mulgrew Izzy

    Kayal Wanyama

    Forrest_______Ki_________Ledley

    Stokes

The first 20 mins of last night was up there with the all time lows that we have seen this season.

maybe you dont understand the Welsh culture

Don't know were your coming from as Ledley would be a 1st pick for every game.
