Honestly mate, in what world should we be sitting on 14 points?

In the three games we’ve drawn, we’ve been the weaker team in two of the games, and for all the meaningless possession last night, they had arguably the better chances.

Even at home to Leipzig they missed two sitters when up 1-0.

I’d take the view we’re fortunate to be on 9 points. A couple of missed opportunities but the way the games have played out, there’s no way we should be disappointed with our points tally.

    100%.

They sat deep with most men behind the ball. It's hard to break down in the SPFL sometimes. Let alone against a champions league team.

I think some think that because it's 'only Dinamo' we should be getting three points. There's every chance that we gamble going for the win and they sticker punch us.

Let's be honest, that game was only going to have one goal scored in it at most.

Could we have got more? Yes. Could we have got less? Yes.

Delighted we've had two clean sheets in a row away from home now.

At the start of the campaign, you'd have bitten your hand off for this.

People were worried it would go to the villa game for us to go through our not.

I wonder if we drew against Leipzig and got the points against Brugge that people would be complaining about it.

We all wanted to progress and to compete and we've done that. We could qualify with a game to spare and people still moan.

Do you mean the champions league games Celtic have played away from home in the Champions league group stage, that Celtic have played, away from home, in the Champions league stage, Celtic, away, worstest ever, Celtic have played?

At the moment we are ahead of or on the same points as..

    Real Madrid
    AC Milan
    Man City
    Benfica
    Atletico Madrid
    PSV
    Juve
    PSG
    Feyenoord
    Stuttgart.

We have been absolutely * in Europe especially the CL for the past 20 years and all of a sudden we are supposed to just roll teams over, why?

Why has our expectations all of a sudden gone through the roof? Because we splashed the cash on Idah and Engels? Beat a let's be honest a very poor RB and SB at home..

Some of the reaction on here is * embarrassing.. we are still miles off some of the clubs in this competition.

For me it's about progression, last night was a set back maybe but so far this campaign has exceeded most of our expectations so far..

Some people in hear need a reality check.. for our net spend and how our board have stunted the growth of our club for years, we are probably ahead of the curve this season. And it's not as if our academy is producing stars on a regular basis, like say Dynamo Zagreb.. not to mention the absolute dirt we play week in week out..

Also hard to win games when some of your players especially the Japanese trio look like they won a raffle to play..

So again, where has all the extremely high expectations come from?

We can be worlds apart from the likes of Real Madrid, Man City etc... that can be true but also absolutely nothing to do with the quality of teams we've been drawn against.

I am willing to give the squad a bit more leeway with the Brugge result but even in that game we didn't look at it in the same way we had in previous games.

The expectations have come from our earlier results. The 5-1 win, being able to keep a clean sheet against Atalanta after getting royally * by Dortmund, turning over Leipzig 4-1.

There was a clear opportunity that we could have really taken everything out of Villa game by winning last night.

I mean just as a mood booster to show we've really changed, should we have won at home to Brugge and best Zagreb last night we'd be sitting much higher up temporarily with 13 points.

Instead, because of how volatile this league setting can be we are instead sitting 19th right now, likely to shift a little lower down after and tonight immediately putting so much pressure on the remaining two games.

We have wasted the last two games

    13 pts sorry.

Brugge were decent but at home they are type of team we should be beating.

Zagreb were one of worst teams iv see in champions league. Last nite was 2 points dropped.

From the fact we got an incredibly favourable draw for the 3rd year in a row and once again arnt taking advantage of it

Funny that after the Dortmund game everybody was saying we need to be more pragmatic and now that we are they're saying we need to be more gung-ho and go for the win. If we'd gone all out for the win last night there's a 50-50 chance we could have won or lost. There are no easy away games in the CL (not for us).The point we got means we only need a draw against YBs to qualify but if we get the win and anything against AV then we'll qualify comfortably.

I think we could have afforded more risk last night. If Dinamo had more of their players available, I'd be happy with getting a mere draw.

Last night was huge for both clubs and both played that way... If we'd taken more chances we might have won and put ourselves ina great spot, or we might have lost and it would have been Zagreb in the ascendant position.

I'm disappointed with the last 2 games point tally, but not to the point of failing to recognise the value of the draws too - these are games we were losing recently!

Where did you expect us to finish when you seen the fixtures? How many points did you think we would get before a ball was kicked?

If they had a fully fit team, it might have actually suited us better as they would have come out more.

think we looked dead on our feet last night and as a result played it safe way too many times .we dont have the options on the wing to maintain the high levels for 2 games a week (something we need to address in jan) .if we get the cup final out of the way i would expect to see much more squad rotation especially if there is no winter break this year

Yeah we got a favourable draw but still some very tough teams and games, still doesn't explain the expectation. Our squad hasn't improved that much from previous seasons and we are still miles behind other clubs in terms of recruitment, youth set up etc..

5 out of 6 unbeaten in this competition compared to the previous 20 years is outstanding progress.. but that's all it is for now progress, we have lots of work to do to compete at this level.

Lots of people saying Zagreb were the worst team we have ever played, I'd imagine Zagreb fans were muttering the same about us last night, we are not as good as some people think, still some glaring gaps in our squad for this level.

Lot of good points there mate and I'd agree when it comes to Brugge game that expecting to win that was good example of that but I thought Zagreb looked really poor and given their injury issues and current form I think it was a missed opportunity.

In terms of progress I think this new format makes it a bit false. Until we reach last 16 or win a knockout tie I'd argue it's not progress or at least not the type we should be seeing. Narrative all along has been to simply get out the group but I don't think that's good enough tbh

Initially I thought somewhere between 10 and 12 pts which we are bang on course for but I think the way it has played out l if we end up on 12pts and end up unseeded in the playoff we will likely look back on last 2 games, particularly last nite, as opportunities missed that could of pushed us up into top 16 and possibly have given us a more favourable playoff tie

We actually look like a team in need of winter break. Which is a worry this season as there isn't one

Yeah mate Zagreb were poor but they are still no mugs. With this new format it makes virtually every game competitive so I wouldn't say false so much. Zagreb tried to beat us on the break because it was probably their only chance, it nearly worked. A point still gives them a good chance and they will be looking to games after crimbo when they have a full squad back, so a point for them was a good result.. probably a good result for both of us.

In terms of progress I think BR wants to make us competitive at this level for a start and so far it's working, beat a German team and drew away with an Italian team. For me this is the start of a new cycle hopefully, facilities upgraded, better recruitment and BR taking us to the next level. For me anyway this season is progress so far.

You can say a point away from home is progress but you've got to look as well at what happened on the park.

They were a very poor team on the night and we stepped down our game to their level. No impetus to get up and win the game, slow uninspiring attacking play. We never got out of first gear and the game looked like a nil-nil by about ten minutes in.

I honestly think they didn't approach it with a serious desire to win, they were content to get the point and go home. That's what annoys me.
