I’d move Tierney inside and play Saracci left back

Playing the 2 left footers at center back is not ideal but I expect it will be Scales and Trusty on Sunday. Its a big game obviously but even bigger in a way now for Trusty. With CCV out maybe even for the rest of the season but for at least 3 months this is his chance to really show not only he has the ability but also the consistency to be a first choice center back for us.

Sounds about right for him. He truly is one of the most pathetic, bitter hate filled huns out there in the game. He really embarrasses himself continually as a human being with the sheer level of his pettiness and bitterness.

Really hoping Maeda can make it and start Sunday. We badly need him in there otherwise its Kenny starting Sunday and while he worked hard and had a decent game last night clearly Maedas work rate is second to none.

Plus they at least have played a number of games together. Thing it will be the 2 of them at the back on Sunday. Hopefully we see a similar type performance from them together as that night in Bergamo.

It's the opposite side Im really concerned with. Their wee winger is flying at the moment and will cause us problems. Hopefully we double up on him

If Maeda is fit, he has to go cover the right side and help Donovan. If not, put Engels right (he's played there for Augsburg) so he can do those sharp crosses from far out.

Wouldn’t risk Maeda if he’s not feeling it

Can only be good thing nothing has been mentioned though

He likely go with Ralston's more experience.. but Maeda would definitely be a boost, whoever plays RB.. although if Maeda is fit, he play him ST.

He shouldn't play him at ST, because a player of Maeda's stature can't do hold-up play and build attacks together with the team. Nygren, on the other hand, is perfect for what Rodgers needs from a striker. Technical, decent body strength, and has good positioning in attacking situations. He is utterly unsuitable for RW.

Has no-one else seen the diets left winger? He will destroy Ralston as he tends to turn inside and we all know how Ralston can't deal with that. Id stick with Donovan for this

    Put it this way.

If Hearts can't beat us at home, with all of the momentum and with us in this state, they have absolutely no * chance of winning the title.

What an opportunity this is for the Celtic players to ram it so far up a lot of people on Sunday. Massive personal motivation as well as professional

I hope those who come into the team, see it as a massive opportunity to make a name for themselves vs the diets, Falkirk and the huns.

Donovan, Kenny and Shin should be busting a gut to keep their place in the match squad. Even Nygren, if we play him at cf.

It's actually a really good way of looking at it.

All of this is on top of our injury list.

If they don't get three points, they have no hope going the distance.

O for sure I agree. I wasn't suggesting we risk Maeda this weekend. I was just opining my hope that the few extra days rest has him ready to play Sunday as boy could we really do with him.

Hopefully momentum of Thursday night carries over. Fast start and dent their confidence early.

I do agree with this but we don’t half have a threadbare squad for this game. It’s not like it’s one position either.

I would be tempted to try the Tournekti on the right thing Kingsley has been playing left back for them who is getting on and you would imagine his trickery should cause him problems.

The boy on the other side is a bit of a unit with a good engine. Balikwisha where he hadn’t done much does put in a shift off the ball.

The midfield three has to be the same as Thursday. If Maeda isn’t fit I would be tempted to try Nygren as a false 9 and go really strong down the middle of the pitch given they play a 4-4-2, although both Braga and Shankland are happy to drop in at times.

Braga against a new CB is a worry as he has good feet and can square up a defender. The left winger too against a young full back isn’t ideal.

It isn’t even just the personal there will be at least 3 guys largely coming into the team for this one. I think as well as the low level of quality the continuity in areas of the park to build relationships has been non existent for most of the season.

It is a good point. A draw and that kicks the can down the road a bit so to speak but if we actually managed to win the game under these circumstances given the injuries especially if Maeda doesn't make it and lets not forget no Jota as well as now no CCV, Johnston and Iheanacho and of course they are playing well and at home that would be way beyond just losing a game. Of course we actually have to produce a performance to make that happen but at least there is some hope after last nights showing.

Gonna be a real test for us defensively I'd reckon. I'm usually pretty optimistic but I'd be happy with a draw from it with so many players out.

This is a season defining game, after Thursday, a win here is a platform for the rest of the season
