That would be my team today but it will be mcgregor, reo, engles with nygren, kenny, tounekti i think, same old.

 

Simply cannot play Kenny, he's nowhere near good enough. Has to try Yamada. But he won't.

 

I’d go tounekti on the right and Balikwisha left. Nygren back in the middle for Hatate. If Hatate decides he fancies it he’s a potential match winner but we can’t afford to carry anyone today and too often he’s been miles off it.

He’s also not going to chuck in Yamada from the start after not even making squads for months.

 

CF has to be Nygren or Yamada. Nygren is too slow for RW.

Nygren, isn't a Celtic winger in typical sense.. but he has played on the right most of his career.. zero evidence he could play ST.. it will be Kenny with Shin on the bench, unless Maeda is fit.

Not a chance in * is he starting. He’s not played in weeks and not even been in the squad.this really highlights our boards disgusting attitude to improving the squad.

 

Kenny can't hold up the ball or play others in like Nygren can. This is what Rodgers wants from a striker. On RW, we need a faster player to cover for whomever is the RB.

 

Maeda doesn't really hold the ball up when he plays centrally, we'll look to play Kenny in and use his pace..

The RB position is a difficult decision, Donovan has more pace but Ralston has that experience.

 

Donovan and the still OK for pace Forrest then? I've seen Maeda coming back to receive the ball a lot, and it drives me nuts. If we start doing that, I'd much rather have a tall guy with good technique acting as the hold-up player.

 

Nygren was rotten at rw. Maybe their left back was that decent he made him look bad but not sure I would be playing hin there again, especially today.

I haven’t watched them this season at all, but people talking like we don’t have a chance in * of beating them?!
Actually really looking forward to this game, for the first time in a while.

Nygren is fine out wide. He’s not a pacey winger but we don’t need a pacey winger necessarily

 

None of the potential lineups are ideal.. also not sure how KT is after playing 90 on Thursday..

I think he'll go with this, but hopefully we sit a bit and take the sting out the game, rather than going straight at them.. then our quality comes through.
