What gets to me most with this rumour (if true) is this decision being made without a manager in place. Who is making this decision?

Surely it is off putting to any prospective manager that the club might go ahead and build a squad before you even sit down in your office.

He's been kind of done an injustice in the fact that he's played under Lennon and kennedy, don't think many on here would have refused the offer of signing him this time last season for 2 mill. In a well organised forward thinking team he would perform, also he's a very very fit 28 year old so no reason he can't play for another 5/6 years . There is resale there

I'd take him showed how good he was when he signed and the Uruguayans are real men tough *, good to have a few of them in your team

I'd still rather have him in team over Taylor. Much much more dynamic even if his positioning can be flawed. Taylor is decent when we play Livi but thats his level.

Always liked him for a tbh. Works his socks off and think he would excel with a proper winger in front as his end product let’s him down

He does have certain attributes that I like-combative, aggression, likes a tackle, good engine, whole hearted, and does like to drive on with the ball but its his end product I dont like. Maybe, in a proper, functional side, he could get that final ball right.

Maybe if we had a striker who liked to attack cross balls he'd have someone in the middle to hit. Something we've not really had since big VoH

That’s some basket to put (I presume) £5m+ worth of our eggs into.

I like the lad well enough, but he’s too incomplete to be worth the considerable investment, especially with the wages he’d likely be after.

I wouldn't take him for the kind of money they will be asking for he's not done enough to justify that kind of price tag.

Canny believe I thought he’d be an upgrade on Taylor.

    Genuinely horrendous.
