Our fullbacks kill so many of our attacks

Needs to learn how to cross a ball or pick out a pass

Same as frimpong, final ball absolutely kills so many attacks, just shows how lucky we were having tierney and lustig as full backs.

It’s mental just how bad his crossing is.

His crossing really is abysmal, overall after the first couple of games hes been quite poor all things considered.

He was good defensively, but fk me his crossing is Dunfermline Athletic.

Not for me; certainly not first half anyway. I know there’s a difference between ‘working hard’ and ‘working smart’, but the shift the lad put in the first half was excellent. He continually got us up the park. Tavernier had no answer for him. Ok, final ball is never great, but he did a great job of giving us genuine width and aggression, allowing us to spread their defence and play through the middle for pretty much the entire 45 mins. Frimpong too.

As with the rest of the team, he largely fell apart after the sending off, but even then, when he was briefly playing as an LCB before Duffy came on, he made one or two decent blocks.

Worked hard, was really aggressive in the tackle but offered so little in attack, despite getting himself into good positions.

I thought his tackling again was great in the 1st half, effort class. Only real very noticeable issue is he's so 1 footed and his crossing was poor.

    I dont buy it!
It reminds me of the huns trying to explain Morelos,s threatening gesture as a South American cultural thing that didn't mean what it looked like

Initially this lad looked absolute quality. Probably because the rest of the team was so * and I was somewhat seduced by the fact Id seen him playing in a WC against Ronaldo etc. And granted, he’s still a fairly good player to have but the longer he’s been here the more limited he’s looked, whether that’s because he’s surrounded with * or he was just in a bit of a purple patch initially I don’t know. Whilst he’s a good defender and comparatively much fitter than the majority of the rest of the team, his final ball is as poor as Frimpong’s and he ofttimes runs into trouble, he seems directionless in his running. Let’s put it this way, if he’s not here next season or even in the next few months, I won’t be distraught.

I do like Laxalt, and he's got another few months to further impress, but i'd maybe be looking elsewhere for a LB.

If we can get him permanent we should. There is room for improvement (crossing) but in a settled team with decent players alongside him he could be a really good player to have playing or on the bench.

Hes the type of player(quality wise) we need all through the squad.Of course we would like better but with our budget restraints we have to be realistic.

if its not him his replacement would probable be a young prospect from hibs/hamilton etc that we buy and rarely play.

    I'm not convinced.

I like him, but would only take him if he was in the 2-3 million range.
